| Objective:To explore 1000 patients in the PCOSAct program as subjects, and to analyze the patients’ aspiration expectations and confidence in acupuncture treatment to explore the influencing factors of acupuncture treatment expectations and trust. Methods:The PCOSAct project is a multicenter,randomized,placebo-controlled trial that is based on a secondary analysis of the PCOSAct project.1000 patients diagnosed as PCOS according to the diagnostic criteria of Rotterdam, from 21 provinces and 27 sub-centers,respectively,assessed their acupuncture treatment expectations and confidence using the Treatment Expectation and Confidence Rating Scale, respectively. After three and the last acupuncture treatment, six questions on the scale were answered and assigned. Then all patients were grouped according to different interventions, different types of hospitals, whether there was a history of acupuncture treatment, whether adverse reactions occurred, whether shedding occurred, and different pregnancy outcomes, using nonparametric statistics Mann-Whitney U and Kruskal-Wallis test method was used to analyze and explore the influencing factors of acupuncture treatment expectation and trust.Results:(1)In terms of interventions:Patients with acupuncture program 1 had higher average scores in "Confidence when introducing acupuncture methods to friends"(question 2)and"Acupuncture improvement in other diseases"(question 4).Patients on acupuncture protocol 2 and P<0.05;patients in CC group had an average score higher than CC placebo group if“If you need acupuncture treatment in the future. Are you still willing to receive similar treatment?”(question 6),and P<0.05.(2)Different types of hospitals:Compared with patients in TCM hospitals, patients in Western hospitals "have a lot of confidence in ovulation induction and increase the probability of pregnancy"(question 1);"confidence when introducing acupuncture methods to friends"(Question 2);"A View of Reasonability of Acupuncture Methods"(Question 3);"Acupuncture success rate in improving other diseases"(Question 4);“If you need acupuncture treatment in the future, you are still willing to receive similar treatment."(Question 6)" The average scores were higher than those in Chinese medicine hospitals, and P<0.05.(3)In terms of treatment history:In the group that received acupuncture treatment, the average score of patients who received the acupuncture treatment group in "promoting ovulation and how to increase the probability of pregnancy"(question 1)was higher than that in unaccepted patients.Patients who had been treated by acupuncture were grouped with p<0.05.(4)In the comparison of whether shedding occurs:"How confident is it for ovulation induction and increased probability of pregnancy"(question 1);"confidence when introducing acupuncture method to a friend"(question 2);and "acupuncture method "A reasonable level of view"(question 3);"Acupuncture success rate in improving other diseases"(question 4);The average score of patients without shedding group was higher than that of the group with shedding patients, and p<0.05.(5)In the comparison of adverse reactions:"The success rate of acupuncture to improve other diseases"(question 4);"Do you think this treatment is helpful to you?"(question 5);Do you need acupuncture treatment in the future? Are you still willing to receive similar treatment?”(question 6);the average score of patients who did not experience adverse reactions was higher than that of patients who developed adverse reactions, and p<0.05.(6)Pregnancy outcomes:a.In the group of whether or not to ovulate, how confident is"for ovulation induction and increase the probability of pregnancy"(question 1);"confidence when introducing acupuncture method to friends"(question 2);"a reasonable degree of acupuncture method"Views"(question 3);"Acupuncture success rate in improving other diseases"(question 4);"Do you think this treatment is helpful to you?"(question 5);"If you need acupuncture treatment in the future Are you still willing to receive similar treatment?"(Question 6);The average score of patients in the ovulation subgroup was higher than that of the anovulatory patients group, and p<0.05.b.In the pregnancy group,"confidence when introducing acupuncture methods to friends"(question 2);"do you think this treatment is helpful to you?"(question 5);"if you need acupuncture in the future Are you still willing to receive similar treatment?(Question 6);the average score for patients in the pregnant group was higher than that for the non-pregnant patients, and p<0.05.Conclusion:(1)Acupuncture and clomiphene treatment of PCOS increased the patient’s expectation and confidence in acupuncture treatment.(2)Patients in Western Hospital have higher expectation and confidence in acupuncture treatment.(3)Patients who have received acupuncture treatment before have a higher expectation and confidence in acupuncture treatment.(4)In terms of shedding and adverse reactions, patients who did not develop adverse reactions and did not have falling had higher expectation and confidence in acupuncture.(5)Patients with higher expectation and confidence in acupuncture are superior to patients with low expectation and confidence in acupuncture in clinical outcomes(ovulation and pregnancy). |
