| Objective: To investigate the value of clinical application of arm-ankle pulse wave conduction velocity to assess vascular elasticity in patients with osteoporosis and to analyze the risk factors affecting osteoporosis,so as to provide theoretical and clinical basis for early detection of vascular elasticity changes and prevention of the development of atherosclerosis in patients with osteoporosis present in primary care. Methods: The population with complete indexes was selected to be enrolled in the physical examination center of Shengjing Hospital of China Medical University from September 2019 to December 2020.Medical history, gender, age, height, weight,BMI calculation,25hydroxy-vitamin D,blood lipids, blood glucose,BMD T-value and baPWV value were collected from the enrolled population.According to the BMD T value grouping normal bone mass and osteoporosis population. The differences between the two groups in age,BMI,blood pressure,25 hydroxy-vitamin D,lipid series, blood glucose and baPWV were compared, and binary logistic regression analysis was performed for the indicators with differences to analyze the risk factors affecting osteoporosis. Results: Of the 486 cases enrolled in the physical examination,302 were men and 184 were women, aged 26-86 years, with a mean age of(52.57±10.39)years.In comparing general information between the normal bone mass and osteoporosis groups,no significant differences were found between the two groups in gender,BMI,diastolic blood pressure,25hydroxy-vitamin D,lipid series(except triglycerides)and fasting glucose(P>0.05).The osteoporosis group had higher age, systolic blood pressure, triglycerides, glycosylated hemoglobin and baPWV than the group with normal bone mass, and the differences were statistically significant(P < 0.05).Further binary logistic regression analysis revealed that age and decreasing vascular elasticity were influencing factors for osteoporosis(P < 0.05).2.117 times higher in those aged ≥60 years than in those aged <60 years, and 2.359 times higher in those with baPWV ≥1400 cm/s than in those with baPWV <1400 cm/s(P<0.05).Conclusion: Decreased vascular elasticity and increased baPWV in osteoporotic patients.Age and decreasing vascular elasticity are influencing factors for osteoporosis and baPWV can,to some extent, evaluate changes in vascular elasticity in osteoporotic patients. |
