| Background: In China,the work of tertiary public hospitals is heavy and high-risk,and employees are also under corresponding pressure.Insufficient job satisfaction of employees will directly affect the quality of the hospital’s work,leading to the occurrence of medical disputes and affecting social stability.Since the launch of the national tertiary public performance assessment in 2019,the satisfaction of hospital staff has been officially included in the assessment system.Therefore,in response to national policies,it is imperative to study staff satisfaction in tertiary public hospitals..Objective: Though the study of the job satisfaction of all the employees in a tertiary public hospital in Anhui province(Hereinafter referred to as S Hospital),to understand the job satisfaction level of the employees in the hospital,and find the influencing factors.So as to provide a realistic basis for optimizing the management system and the measures of improving the job satisfaction of the employees.Methods: Using the method of cluster random sampling,the questionnaire was distributed to the staff in the hospital.The questionnaire was anonymous and was filled in and collected on the spot.The statistical analysis including descriptive statistical analysis,one-way analysis of variance and multiple linear regression.result:(1)The job satisfaction score of the staff in S Hospital is 60.6,which is only at the "average" level.Among the five dimensions,the score of working environment dimension is 64.2,which is the highest in all dimensions,humanistic care dimension is 62.5,self-development dimension is 62.2,and work content dimension is 61.6,which ranks 2nd to 4th respectively,while the score of work salary and welfare dimension is only 49.4,which is on the "unsatisfactory" level.(2)In terms of the demographic and sociological characteristics of employees,the influence of the job attribute,gender and length of service on the score of the job satisfaction in the hospital is statistically significant(P < 0.05).When take the three factors as independent variables and the score of the job satisfaction as dependent variable to create a regression equation.The absolute value of the standard regression coefficient of job factor was the largest.Age,education background and employment form have no statistical significance on the overall satisfaction score difference of the staff in the hospital(P>0.05),and these factors can only have some differences in the satisfaction score of some dimensions.(3)In the three main factors,the job satisfaction score of doctors and nurses are lower than other professions,especially the nurses’ satisfaction score is on the " unsatisfactory level".The job satisfaction score of the 5 to 10 years employees are significantly lower than other groups,the female employee job satisfaction score lower than male workers.conclusion:(1)The overall job satisfaction of the staff in S Hospital is not high,only at the "average" level.None of the five sub-dimensions reached the level of satisfied,in which the four dimensions of work environment,work content,humanistic care and self-development are at the "average" level,and the dimensions of work salary and welfare is at the level of dissatisfaction.The satisfaction of female staff in S Hospital is lower than that of male staff,which is at the level of dissatisfaction.The degree of satisfaction of workers aged 41 to 50 is significantly lower than that of other age groups,and the degree of satisfaction of workers aged 5 to 10 is lower than other groups.Compared with other job attributes,the satisfaction level of medical staff is significantly lower,among which nurses have the lowest job satisfaction level and is at the level of dissatisfaction.From the form of employment,the satisfaction of personnel agency system is lower than that of other forms of employment.(2)In terms of demographic and sociological factors affecting the degree of satisfaction of S Hospital,the gender,post attribute and length of service have more significant effects on the degree of satisfaction than the age,education background and employment form.Among them,post attribute has the most significant influence on the difference of satisfaction level of staff in S Hospital.S Hospital should improve the salary and welfare of medical staff,strengthen humanistic care for young and middle-aged female staff,optimize the working process,and improve the operating efficiency of the hospital,so as to improve the job satisfaction of staff in a multi-faceted way,and build a stable,united and positive medical team for the long-term development of the hospital. |
