| Research BackgroundThe COVID-19 outbreak in early 2020 was a major public health emergency with the fastest transmission rate,the widest infection range and the greatest difficulty in prevention and control since the founding of the People’s Republic of China,The epidemic has had a major impact on people’s physical and mental health.Studies have shown that during the epidemic,many students experienced negative emotions such as stress,tension,irritability and anxiety.Medical college graduates as a special group,they are facing increasingly severe academic pressure,employment pressure,economic pressure,marriage and love pressure,their psychological problems are also increasing.Studies have indicated that depression and anxiety are common psychological problems among medical students.During the epidemic period,the prevalence rate of depression and anxiety among medical students was 35.1%and 22.4%respectively.Being depressed or anxious for a long time will affect the normal study and life,in severe cases,it can lead to dropping out of school,committing suicide or harming others.This study is an investigation on the depression and anxiety of medical colleges graduates under the background that epidemic has entered the stage of normal prevention and control and the whole country has resumed classes,it is great practical significance to understand the status of depression and anxiety of medical colleges graduates and analyze the influencing factors and explore the corresponding countermeasuresResearch ObjectiveTo investigate the status of depression and anxiety and the main sources of psychological stress of medical college graduates in the post-epidemic era,analyzing the related factors of depression and anxiety,as well as the relationship between depression and anxiety,coping style and social support and then explore the countermeasures to improve the depression and anxiety of medical college graduates.Research Method1.Literature researchBy searching,consulting,combing and analyzing the domestic and foreign literatures about the mental health of medical college graduates and making a literature review.Analyzes the status and characteristics of mental health among medical college graduates at home and abroad,puts forward research hypotheses and designs questionnaires.2.Investigation and studyThis questionnaire survey was conducted among 1647 medical college graduates in a medical university in Guangdong Province by stratified random sampling.3.Mathematical statisticsSPSS22.0 software was used for statistical analysis.The mainly statistical analysis methods included statistical description,t test,F test,mediating effect analysis and multiple linear regression analysis.Research Results1.In this survey,1647 questionnaires were collected and 1645 were effective,with an effective rate was 99.8%.2.The ranking of psychological stress sources of medical college graduates in this survey was academic pressure,employment pressure,economic pressure,family pressure,others pressure,interpersonal pressure,marriage and love pressure.Positive coping score was 20.32±6.76 and negative score was 7.04±3.56.The total score of social support was 38.79±6.75,the score of subjective support was 21.76±3.96,the score of objective support was 8.82±2.35,and the score of support utilization was 8.21 ±2.02,social support scores were generally moderate.Among the 1645 respondents,356(21.64%)were diagnosed with depression,and 155(9.42%)were diagnosed with anxiety.The scores of depression scale and anxiety scale were 43.55± 11.32 and 36.98±8.89 respectively.The scores of depression and anxiety scale were both higher than the national norm(P<0.05).3.The correlation analysis indicated that depression and anxiety were significant correlated with psychological stressors,coping styles and social support.Multiple linear regression analysis indicated that gender,exercise habits,whether they were worried about being infected with novel coronavirus,interpersonal stress,other stress,positive coping,negative coping and social support total scores entered the regression equation(depression);Major,whether they are worried about being infected with novel coronavirus,employment pressure,interpersonal pressure,other stress,positive coping,negative coping and social support total scores entered the regression equation(anxiety).The mediating effect analysis indicate that positive coping and social support played a partial mediating role between psychological stress and depression and anxiety,while negative coping played a partial mediating role between psychological stress and anxiety.Research Conclusion1.In the post-epidemic period,the rank of psychological pressure sources among medical college graduates were academic pressure,employment pressure,economic pressure,family pressure,other pressure,interpersonal relationship pressure and dating pressure.The overall social support of medical college graduates at the middle level and the coping mode is mainly with active coping.2.The prevalence rate of depression and anxiety in medical college graduates was lower than in the emergency period,but still higher than that in the general population.3.Gender,weekly exercise habits,worry about infection with novel coronavirus,interpersonal relationship stress,other stress,positive coping,negative coping and social support were the influencing factors of depression in medical college graduates.Major,worry about being infected with novel coronavirus,employment pressure,interpersonal pressure,other pressure,positive coping,negative coping and social support are the influencing factors of anxiety in medical college graduates.Coping style and social support played a partial mediating role between psychological stress and depression and anxiety. |
