Clinical Observation On Effect Of Liuyi San And Shenling Baizhu San In Treatment Of Diabetes Mellitus Patients With Eczema

ObjectiveThis study observes the clinical efficacy of Liuyi San and Shenling Baizhu San in treating diabetes mellitus patients with eczema in order to provide new ideas for the treatment of this disease by traditional Chinese medicine.MethodsIn this study,we randomly divided 74 patients with diabetes and eczema into two groups,38 in the control group and 36 in the trial group.On the basis of lifestyle intervention and hypoglycemic drug treatment,the two groups were given loratadine tablets orally in the control group,and Liuyi San externally combined with Shenling Baizhu San internally in the trial group,both groups were treated for two weeks.The eczema area and severity index(EASI)scores,pruritus scores,glycosylated serum protein(GSP),fasting plasma glucose(FPG),two hour postprandial plasma glucose(2hPG),TCM syndrome scores were tested both before the treatment and after two weeks of treatment,and the EASI scores,pruritus scores,FPG,2hPG,TCM syndrome scores were tested after one week of treatment as well.Results1.EASI scores:Liuyi San combined with Shenling Baizhu San and loratadine tables can effectively reduce EASI scores(P＜0.05).In contrast,the EASI scores of loratadine group decreased more significantly,and the total effective rate of EASI scores improvement was higher.Differences in EASI scores changes between the two groups were statistically significant after one week of treatment(P＜0.05),but not statistically significant after two weeks of treatment(P＞0.05).There was no significant differences in the efficacy level of EASI scores between the two groups for one week and two weeks of treatment(P>0.05).2.pruritus scores:Loratadine tablets can significantly decrease the pruritus scores for one week and two weeks of treatment(P＜0.05).Liuyi San combined with Shenling Baizhu San cannot significantly decrease the pruritus scores for one week of treatment(P＞0.05),but can significantly decrease the pruritus scores for two weeks of treatment(P＜0.05).There was no significant differences in the pruritus scores between the two groups for one week and two weeks of treatment(P＞0.05).3.FPG:Liuyi San combined with Shenling Baizhu San had no significant effect on FPG(P>0.05).Loratadine tables significantly increased FPG after one week of treatment(P＜0.05),but had no significant effect after two weeks of treatment(P>0.05).There was no significant differences in FPG between the two groups(P＞0.05).4.2hPG:Both Liuyi San combined with Shenling Baizhu San and loratadine tables had no significant effect on 2hPG(P>0.05).And there was no significant differences in 2hPG between the two groups(P>0.05).5.GSP:Liuyi San combined with Shenling Baizhu San can significantly reduce GSP(P＜0.05),while loratadine tables had no significant effect on GSP(P>0.05).The difference in GSP changes between the two groups was statistically significant(P＜0.05).6.TCM syndrome scores:Both Liuyi San combined with Shenling Baizhu San and loratadine tables can effectively reduce TCM syndrome score(P＜0.05).However,Liuyi San combined with Shenling Baizhu San were significantly better than loratadine tables in improving TCM syndrome scores(P＜0.05),and the total effective rate of TCM syndrome scores improvement was significantly higher than that of loratadine table(P＜0.05).ConclusionLiuyi San combined with Shenling Baizhu San can effectively improve the EASI scores,pruritus scores,GSP and TCM syndrome scores of diabetic patients with eczema,which is beneficial to the control of blood sugar,eczema skin lesions and conscious symptoms in diabetic patients with eczema.
