With the rapid development of my country’s pet medical industry, new medical technologies emerge in endlessly. As high-end imaging technologies,MRI and CT represent the new direction of pet diagnostic technology in the future. For this reason, the author visited and investigated some cities in my country from May to September 2019 to understand the application of MRI and CT technology in pet hospitals. This survey counted some basic information about the number of MRI and CT in pet hospitals, installation time, brand, and monthly cases, and learned about the development status and problems faced by MRI and CT in pet hospitals in my country in recent years.Since MRI and CT have just emerged in my country, most pet hospitals lack relevant imaging professionals, the technology is immature, and reference materials are scarce. There are few tomographic anatomy maps and image anatomy reference maps for dogs and cats and other pets, leading to imaging physicians Difficulty in interpretation. In order to solve this practical problem,we specially arranged a four-part experiment to enrich the image reference map with independent intellectual property rights.1.Canine chest and abdomen CT scan:In this experiment,a 32-slice spiral CT was used to scan the chest and abdomen of the experimental dog.18 pictures of the chest and lung window,16 pictures of the mediastinum window,13 pictures of the abdominal window were selected, for each The pictures are annotated in more detail, and a corresponding reference map has been created. The image of the chest and abdomen will be affected by breathing motion, heartbeat, bowel movement and other factors to produce artifacts, which will have a certain impact on the quality of the image, but the large trachea, blood vessels, muscles, bones and other tissues of the chest and abdomen can be clearly distinguished without affecting the quality of the image.Interpretation, but there is room for improvement.2.Dog chest and abdomen MRI scan:In this experiment,a 0.3T permanent magnet MRI was used to scan the dog’s chest and abdomen.11 T1WI images of the chest transverse position,11 T2WI images, and 1 sagittal T1WI image were selected.1 T2WI image,2 coronal T1WI images,2 T2WI images;13 abdominal transverse T1WI images,13 T2WI images,3 sagittal T1WI images,3 T2WI images, and 1 coronal T1WI image. One T2WI image, with more detailed annotations for each image, and a corresponding reference map created.Like CT,MRI will also be affected by chest and abdomen motion artifacts and will not affect interpretation, but MRI has better soft tissue resolution, blood vessels, muscles, and fat tissues are displayed more clearly, and thoracic vertebrae, spinous processes and other skeletal tissues are not as distinguishable as CT.I believe that with the development of hardware equipment, the imaging effect will be well improved.3.Cross-sectional dissection of the dog’s chest and abdomen:In this experiment, the same experimental dog was euthanized. After being perfused with formalin,it was frozen and formed. Then the chest and abdomen of the made model were sawed into 0.5 cm slices with a band saw.The direction of the saw blade was perpendicular to spine. The sawn sections are cleaned up on the surface, and then rinsed with hydrogen peroxide to increase the contrast between the tissues.Due to inevitable errors, the effect of each section is not the same.26 representative sections are selected for annotation, and the corresponding reference map is created.Larger tissues and organs in the chest and abdomen can be clearly distinguished.Loss of tissue during slicing or vasoconstriction after slicing will make it difficult to identify small blood vessels and organs. The overall effect is good and there is room for improvement.4.Comparison of tomographic anatomy and image anatomy of dog’s thorax and abdomen:In this experiment, tomographic anatomy images,CT images and MRI(T1 and T2 sequence)images of the same part of the same experimental dog were selected for comparison, and a comparison atlas was initially established.Due to the difference in the time of taking CT,MRI and making tomographic anatomical slices,as well as the positioning errors during shooting, there may be differences in the shape and size of some slices at the same anatomical position, but the difference in tissue structure is not large.Except for the details of some small blood vessels and small organs, most of the bone and soft tissue structures of the chest and abdomen on the anatomical slices can be found on the matching images. The atlas established in this experiment aims to provide clinical reference and improve the diagnosis rate of chest and abdomen diseases. The experiment involves more anatomical structures of thoracic and abdomen tissues, which has important reference significance and value in clinical practice and application.
