The Impact Of Business Ecosystem Governance Mechanisms On Enterprise Business Model Innovation

In the increasingly fierce competitive environment,more and more enterprises realize that relying solely on innovation in products or services can no longer meet the development of enterprises.Only through continuous innovation in business models can enterprises obtain sustainable competitive advantages.At the same time,under the background of the current business ecosystem,the enterprise's business model innovation process has changed from individual enterprise behavior to the joint participation of all members of the system,and the success of individual enterprises must also rely on the innovation of other enterprises in the external environment.At present,the business model innovation of enterprises is in the business ecosystem and will inevitably be affected by the ecosystem.Therefore,the governance of the business ecosystem is particularly important.A good governance mechanism can coordinate the interests and conflicts of enterprises in the ecosystem and maintain the stable operation of the system,thus ensuring the smooth development of the business model innovation activities of enterprises.Many scholars have studied the relationship between the governance mechanism of the business ecosystem and the innovation of the business model,but most of researches focus on the governance of the bilateral relationship or self-centered network of enterprises in the business ecosystem.In addition,most of them have studied the direct impact of business ecosystem governance mechanisms on business model innovation,ignoring intermediate processes,and their research also ignore the role of relevant contingency factors at the business ecosystem level or at the enterprise level.However,the process of business model innovation in the business ecosystem is accomplished by the members of the system.Therefore,from the perspective of the whole business ecosystem,this paper examines the impact of business ecosystem governance mechanism on business model innovation,and divides the business ecosystem governance mechanism into two dimensions of contract governance and trust governance to discuss their impact on business model innovation of enterprises in the system.On this basis,dynamic capability is also introduced as an intermediary variable,and species diversity and enterprise niche overlap are two contingency factors as regulatory variables.The intermediary effect of dynamic capability in the relationship between business ecosystem governance mechanism and enterprise business model innovation,and the moderating effects of species diversity in the relationship between business ecosystem governance mechanism and enterprise dynamic capability,and the moderating effects of enterprise niche overlap between dynamic capability and business model innovation are discussed.The theoretical model is established and the relationship between them is tested through empirical research.The results show that: first,the two dimensions of contract governance mechanism and trust governance mechanism of business ecosystem have significant positive effects on business model innovation of enterprises;Second,the governance mechanism of business ecosystem significantly positively affects the dynamic capability of enterprises.Third,dynamic capability has a significant positive impact on business model innovation.Fourth,dynamic capability plays a complete intermediary role between the governance mechanism of the business ecosystem and the innovation of the business model.Fifth,species diversity plays a negative role in moderating the trust governance mechanism of business ecosystem and the dynamic capability of enterprises.Fifth,the niche overlap of enterprises positively and significantly moderates the relationship between dynamic capability of enterprises and innovation of business models.
