In the increasingly fierce market competition environment,team has gradually become the basic unit for enterprises to enhance creativity,and team creativity has become an important resource for enterprises to obtain vitality and success.How to effectively enhance team creativity and then realize organizational innovation has become a hot topic that both managers and researchers pay attention to.Team creativity not only requires team members to provide a variety of information and views;Furthermore,the ability to process these information resources and develop creative decision-making solutions is required.However,in reality,the high demand and high value characteristics of status resources make each member eager to obtain more status resources.The zero-sum attribute of the status and the differences in the ability and knowledge of the members lead to the high and low status assigned by the team members,forming the differences in the structure of the team status to different degrees.Compared with low-status members,high-status members often have more say and more authority over organizational decisions.They may play an active leadership role and encourage team members to give play to their advantages.It may also lead to dictatorial decisions and bias in task decision-making.At the same time,low-status members in the team are motivated by their status and choose the courage to put forward their own variant views or creative solutions.Or out of fear,choose to conform and obey.These will affect the diversity and universality of views within the team,as well as the accuracy and innovation of decision-making,which requires managers to manipulate by designing reasonable status structure difference.Then,what kind of difference in team status structure is more conducive to stimulating creativity of the team needs to be highly concerned by modern enterprise managers.This paper intends to base on the two processes that influence the generation of team creativity(the discrete process of team thinking and the aggregation process of team thinking).This paper discusses the curvilinear effect between the difference of team status structure and team creativity at the team level and examines the moderating effect of task complexity and task interdependence.By constructing and testing the inverted U curve model adjusted by the characteristics of team tasks,the transmission mechanism and boundary conditions of the influence of the difference of team status structure on team creativity are profoundly revealed.In this study,data were obtained through online questionnaire survey,and qualified data samples were selected from 455 members of 106 teams.Furthermore,MPLUS 7.0 software was used to test the main effects of differences in team status structure and team creativity,as well as the moderating effects of task complexity and task interdependence through multivariate hierarchical regression analysis.The results show that there is not a simple positive or negative relationship between the difference of team status structure and team creativity,but an inverted u-shaped curve relationship,that is,moderate difference of team status structure is more conducive to the generation of team creativity.Task complexity can adjust the relationship between the difference of team status structure and team creativity.Relatively speaking,matching highcomplexity tasks with differences in team status structure can stimulate the thinking discrete process of the team,while matching low-complexity tasks with differences in team status structure can stimulate the thinking aggregation process of the team,and the former has a higher level of team creativity than the latter.Task interdependence plays a moderating role between the difference of team status structure and team creativity.Only when the degree of task interdependence is matched with the difference of team status structure can the team's thinking discrete process or thinking aggregation process be more stimulated,can the best team creativity be generated when the task is successfully completed,and the matching combination that can stimulate the former can generate higher team creativity.
