With the development of information technology and the application of big data,enterprises are faced with more external opportunities and challenges,thus continuous change is the most effective way to maintain competitive advantage?Because the team has the flexibility that enterprises do not have and the ability to integrate that the individual can't be achieved,so the team model has become an effective means for enterprises to cope with fierce competition.Meanwhile enterprises that rely on their own information and internal management mechanism can't guarantee the realization of the goal,the importance of boundary activities becomes increasingly prominent.The nature of the team tasks determines the location of the team in the resource exchange,so how the team task characteristics drive the team to take the boundary activities,improve the team performance,and finally enhance the efficiency of enterprises has become the focus of management research.Based on the development trend,this paper regards the team task complexity and time pressure as the antecedent variables which drives the team to carry out boundary activities from the perspective of resource dependence,and explores the four task types of the combination between task complexity and time pressure(high complexity and high urgency,high task complexity and low urgency,low complexity and high urgency,low complexity and low urgency)that mainly influence the type of boundary activities.As the team performance is the result of internal and external activities,only concerned about the factors inside the team has been unable to promote team development and growth.Therefore,team boundary activities become an important mediation between task characteristics and team performance.Combined with the analysis of the existing literature,this paper put forward the relevant theoretical models and research hypotheses,and the study used the method of field handout and online survey to investigate the team members and team leaders in the enterprises.413 valid questionnaires were collected,forming 92 effective team samples.In the stage of data analysis,the study mainly counted and dealt with the relevant data with the SPSS 20.0 as well as AMOS17.0,and the final conclusions of the study are:team task complexity?time pressure characteristics and team boundary activities have a significantly positive effect on team performance;Team boundary activities play a full mediation role in the task complexity and team performance,besides team boundary activities also plays a fully mediating role in task time pressure and team performance.When faced with high complexity and low urgency of the task mode,the team will show more scouting activities.When faced with high complexity and high urgency of the task mode,the team will adopt more coordinating activities.When faced with low complexity and low urgency of the task mode,the team will show more enhanced activities.When faced with low complexity and high urgency of the task mode,the team will adopt more buffering activities.The empirical results indicate that the team managers should accurately grasp the characteristics of the task and master the level of demand for external resources in order to make the right decision.Therefore,it is valuable for the team leaders to take the type of boundary activities based on different types of task in order to improve team performance.
