China's electrical manufacturing industry has experienced vigorous development for more than half a century.The product system is perfect,and the output and safety of products have been greatly improved.At the same time,facing more and more market participants,how to effectively improve product quality is very important for all electrical manufacturing enterprises.The Lean Six Sigma(LSS)theory,which combines Lean Production and Six Sigma Management,is the most scientific and effective quality management method at present.Therefore,it is of great significance to apply LSS method to the production process of electrical manufacturing enterprises,and to improve product quality by implementing improvement projects.CK company is a local electric manufacturing enterprise in China.The quality level of its bus bar products is lower than that of its competitors,which leads to a large number of rework and scrap,which seriously restricts the development of enterprises.The quality of the products urgently needs to be improved.In this paper,LSS theory is applied to BGFM busbar products in order to improve the product quality.According to the current production situation of enterprises,the LSS theory is introduced.According to the Define,Measure,Analyze,Improve and Control of the DMAICII process,the project is promoted in turn.Starting from each process related to product and product manufacture,the quality management tools such as Minitab software and process capability analysis,causal analysis chart,Plato,and variance analysis and hypothesis test are used.Statistical methods were used.Among all the factors affecting the quality of tin plating,the three most important factors were selected,and then the optimal combination of different factors was determined by orthogonal experimental design method.At the same time,reasonable measures were taken to improve the quality of tin plating combined with lean thinking and tools.Finally,the sustainability of the improvement effect is ensured by means of documentation of the improvement results and statistical process control analysis.After the implementation of LSS Improvement Project,the improvement effect of the project is evaluated by comparing the yield of the products before and after improvement.The results show that the quality level of BGFM busbar products of CK Company has been effectively improved,the product yield and process capability index have been greatly improved,the number of discarded and repaired parts has been effectively reduced,the quality cost of the enterprise has been reduced,and the customer satisfaction has been improved.The success of this project not only verifies the theoretical feasibility of LSS method,but also provides a reference for other electrical manufacturing enterprises to apply LSS method to improve product quality.
