This paper mainly studies the complementary of China and the the United States in the electronic information industry to put forward operational policy recommendations.Firstly,based on the current situation of Sino-US electronic information industry trade,this paper qualitatively analyses the status of Sino-US electronic information industry in the global production network of electronic information products by using the theory of comparative advantage theory and the global industrial chain,to find out the three big problem of Chinese electronic information industry trade in present-how to balance the competitive and complementary,how to deal with the problem of that electronic information industry is not strong while its scale is large,and how to deal with Sino-US trade war..Secondly,based on the overall and classified trade panel data of Sino-US electronic information industry from 2007 to 2017,using the qualitative and quantitative analysis of competitive and complementary trade indicators,the complementary of Sino-US electronic information industry trade structure in current actual trade is obtained.Finally,drawing on the new tariff policies of China and the United Sates in the Sino-US trade war and using the economic model GTAP model,we simulate that the implementation of different tariff policies will affect both countries.At last,it is concluded that China and the United States have different positions in the global industrial chain,that Electronic information products has both competitiveness and complementary to each other,and the Sino-US Trade War will bring losses to both countries of the electronic information industry.Therefore,these suggestions are given that we need to expand the existing advantages,develop core technologies and seize all opportunities for the development of the competitiveness of China's electronic information industry.
