A Study Of Heidegger's Later Poetic Language Thoughts

Western philosophy of the 20th century takes language as the main research object.European continental philosophy and Anglo-American analytical philosophy,as two philosophical forms with different philosophical interests and philosophical spirits,have obvious differences in research methods and styles of language issue.As a representative of European continental philosophy,Heidegger's later thought of language is quite different from the Anglo-American analytical philosophy,showing a completely different approach of "language turn".After the completion of "Being and Time",Heidegger turned his path of "thinking" of inquiring Being.In the process of this turning,he gradually moved toward the "The way to language" for a deep reflection on questions such as metaphysics and truth.That constituted his thought of poetic language which is very different from tradition.Heidegger's later thought of poetic language is a further deepening of the "existential difference" thought.The "poetic characteristic" of poetic language thought in the Heidegger's later thought is expressed in two dimensions: the poetic meaning of language in his thought and the poetic representation of language thought.On one hand,Heidegger takes language as poetic language with originality,creativity and shelter.On the other hand,Heidegger's poetic linguistic thoughts also manifested as interpret poetry as a means,this thought is in a semi-poetry style and pursuing of poetic dwelling as final purpose.Heidegger's thought of poetic language has great theoretical value.First of all,his view of language explains the close relationship between language and lifestyle,showing us that the connection between us and the world is linguistic,and we exist in the world built by language.Secondly,his poetic language thought and its methodology have opened the way for later thinkers,including post-modern thinkers such as Derrida and Foucault.At the same time,the poetic language thought in the Heidegger's later period also showed some limitations,which reflected in two aspects.One is his thinking did not completely separated from the metaphysical mode that contains subjectivity,and the other is the lack of actual sociality and historicin in the process of arguing language.
