Existence Of Art And Poetry

In this paper, we pay attention to the essence of art, poetry and language in Heidegger's thought. But it is not our ultimate aim. Under the painstaking analysis of which, we want to discover the reason that make Heidegger turn to study art, poetry and language, and point out this can give what meaning and effect to his thinking of Being, and furthermore to make plain this new style of thinking can give what enlightenment for us to understand the problem of our days. It divides into three chapters. In the first chapter, we reveal the inevitability of Heidegger turning to study art and poetry by analyzing the relationship between technique and western metaphysics. Heidegger thinks that the essence of technology includes disclosure and veil, but people take clearing as pure disclosure in modern technology. This originates from the "forgetfulness of the difference of Ontology " in western metaphysics. And the government of technology makes us forget forgetfulness itself in turn. So, in technical world, if we want to realize poetry dwell, we must recall the original meaning of technology, then art, which has the same origin with technology, enter our discussion. The second chapter examines the art thought of Heidegger. In this chapter, we try to make plain the relationship between art and truth from two aspects. On one hand, we examine the relationship between art and aesthetics. There is no aesthetics when art is authentic, while when it enters into aesthetic, the authentic art falls, it is no longer clears Being. On the other hand, we recall the authentic art by analyzing the structure of "world-earth", and point out the essence of art is to reveal the double character of truth. Then the relationship between art and truth has changed. The third chapter discusses poetry and language. In the middle and late stage, Heidegger considers language through Ereignis, which indicates that Heidegger's thinking of Being is ripe more and more. In one side, by studying the relationship between the speaking of Ereignis and the speaking of human being, we criticize the rational thinking in western metaphysic. And in the other side, Heidegger point out poetry, as the hearkening of the speaking of Ereignis, embodies the authentic existence of human being. So in order to enter the clearing of Being, and realize poetry dwell, we advocate poetry speaking. But in technical ages, only through the leading of poets can we enter poetry dwell, so we discuss the duty of poets last.In addition, we think that Heidegger's study on art and poetry is very important for his question of Being. And by the discussion of them, we also get a new way of ourselves to think about our season and our problems.
