Effect Of Xingshen Kaishu Acupuncture On Serum Inflammatory Cytokines In Patients With Post-stroke Depression

Objective:To observe the effects of wake up acupuncture on serum hypersensitive C-reactive protein(hs-CRP),interleukin-6(IL-6),interleukin-10(IL-10)and tumor necrosis factor-α in patients with post-stroke depression.Methods:A total of 40 patients with post-stroke depression from the acupuncture and encephalopathy Department of the Second Affiliated Hospital of Hunan University of Traditional Chinese Medicine and the neurology Department of Hunan Provincial Brain Hospital,random numeral table method was used to randomly divide into Group A(Acupuncture Group)and Group B(Oral Fluoxetine Group),each group of 20 cases.The acupuncture group was treated with the method of awakening and closing acupuncture on the basic treatment,once a day;The drug group was treated with oral fluoxetine in the basic treatment group once a day;Group A took 6 days as a course of treatment.After the course of treatment,it took 1 day to treat 4 courses.Group B took 28 days of treatment for a course of treatment,a total of 1 course of treatment.Both groups of patients were tested for serum hypersensitive Creactive protein(hs-CRP),interleukin-6(IL-6),interleukin-10(IL-10),and tumor necrosis factor-α(TNF-α)levels before and after treatment.The Hamilton Depression Scale(HAMD),Beck Depression Inventory-II(BDI-II),Barth Index(BI),and SERS were used to score the results and statistical analysis was conducted.Results:1.Comparison of hs-CRP,TNF-α,IL-6 content in serum: Before treatment,the levels of hs-CRP,TNF-α,IL-6 in serum between groups A and B were basically close,and there was no statistical difference(P>0.05);After 4weeks of treatment,the contents of hs-CRP,TNF-α,and IL-6 in the serum of the A and B groups were significantly lower than before treatment,and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.01);There was no significant difference in the reduction between the two groups,and there was no statistically significant difference(P>0.05)2.Comparison of IL-10 content in serum:Before treatment,the contents of IL-10 in serum before treatment in group A and B were basically similar,andthe difference was not statistically significant(P>0.05);After 4 weeks of treatment,the concentration of IL-10 in the serum of the two groups was higher than before the treatment,and the difference was statistically significantt(P<0.01),the degree of elevation of the two groups was quite,and the difference was not statistically significant(P<0.05)3.Comparison of HAMD and Beck total scores:There was no significant difference in the total score of HAMD and Beck before the treatment of Patients in groups A and B(P>0.05);After 4 weeks of treatment,the total score of HAMD and Beck decreased significantly,and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.01),and the degree of decline is quite,the difference is not statistically significant(P<0.05)4.Comparison of MBI scores:There was no significant difference of BI before treatment between A and B groups(P>0.05);After 4 weeks of treatment,the MBI values increased,and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05);The observation group was significantly higher than the control group and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.01)5.Comparison of SERS scores:The SERS score during the treatment of Patients in the observation group was significantly lower than that of the control group,and the difference was highly statistically significant(P<0.01)Conclusion:Xing Shen Qi Bi Needling therapy can effectively reduce the content of hs-CRP,TNF-α,IL-6 in serum,increase the content of IL-10,improve the daily activity and depression of patients,and its safety is good.
