Background:Impotence,equivalently as the concept of"Erectile Dysfunction"in modern medicine,which is one of the most common male sexual dysfunctions.Clinically,it is characterized by symptoms as the inability to develop or maintain an erection or to keep hardness of penis during sexual life.So that male cannot complete or even perform satisfied sexual activities.The course of the disease generally lasts for more than three months as a feature.Studies have shown that the overall incidence of male erectile dysfunction can reach more than 52%,and is increasing year by year with the aging process of the patients,it is estimated that the number of male erectile dysfunction in the world will exceed 320 million by year 2025.At present,the treatment of western medicine is mainly based on PDE-5 inhibitors.Although it has certain curative effect,it still has side effects such as nasal congestion,indigestion,etc.due to the expansion of blood vessels in the nasal mucosa and gastric mucosa.Considered of patients’overall health status,Professor Li Haisong put forward a unique academic concept in the treatment of impotence,and has a significant effect in a large number of outpatients,providing the author with further study chance from Professor Li Haisong’s academic thoughts.And opportunities for studying his clinical experience.Objective:On the basis of literature research,through the comprehensive excavation of Professor Li Haisong’s clinical prescriptions in the clinical medical records,and combing summary-up of his academic thoughts on treating impotence,within the studying experience to theoretical and clinical,Professor Li Haisong’s experience in medicine is observed,summarized and analyzed Mutual confirmation,looking for a more reasonable and effective treatment methods on treating impotence,in order to provide the clinical treatment of male impotence a certain reference on medical prescription.Method:Using traditional Chinese medicine inheritance support system,the author excavated Professor Li Haisong’s clinical data on treating impotence.Collecting the medical records of patients diagnosed as impotence who were treated by Professor Li Haisong in the special outpatient clinic from August 2017 to March 2018 were collected.Learn from Professor Li Haisong’s thoughts on etiology and pathogenesis of impotence and the characteristics of the prescription,compared and further summarized with his academic experience,Professor Li Haisong’s academic theories and therapeutic regimen would be explored and summarized in order to find a more practical method on treatment of impotence after analyzation and confirmation.Results:According to the results of statistic,315 patients’records was collected,through the data mining via traditional Chinese medicine inheritance support system,141 kinds of herbal medicines appeared in the prescriptions were counted,among which Astragalus membranaceus,tuckahoe,Radix Paeoniae Alba,leech,Angelica sinensis,Morinda Radix,Radix Bupleuri,Green Tangerine Peel and other medicines were the most frequently used.There were 8 pairs of the most commonly used medication,22 prescription medication rules,24 core drug combinations and 12 medication references.From four properties and five tastes theory of herbal medicine based on traditional Chinese medicine,Professor Li Haisong usually use warm,mild and cold medicine on clinical treatment,and usually use sweetness,bitterness and acrid medicine,salty medicine was rarely used in his prescription.Herbal medicine which walks to kidney channel ranked the third,was not occupied the most important place.The results of data mining were basically consistent with Professor Li Haisong’s academic thoughts such as"treating impotence from Qi","treating impotence from Collaterals"and"treating impotence from Wind".And the author concluded a new prescription on treating impotence and could be flexibly adjusted during clinical treatment.Though this new prescription still needed the clinical and experimental trial.Conclusion:Through the excavation of Professor Li Haisong’s academic thoughts and the study of clinical experience,the author believes that there is some similarity in Professor Li Haisong’s"Penile Apoplexy theory" and cerebral apoplexy or heart apoplexy indeed,so that certain guiding significance for the diagnosis and treatment could be compared and referenced from each other.And has a great combination with Professor Li’s"Penile Apoplexy Theory",which cleared that penile apoplexy has just similar etiology and pathogenesis with cerebral apoplexy and heart apoplexy."Blood stasis"was the main pathogenesis in traditional Chinese medicine of both"penis apoplexy"and"cerebral apoplexy",and the main pathogenesis would run through the whole processes of disease from begin to the end.It was a huge change from invigorating the kidney and strengthening Yang to promoting blood circulation to remove blood stasis on treating impotence.Combined the holism in traditional Chinese medicine and the modern medicine researches,impotence might be the premonitory symptom of cerebral apoplexy and heart apoplexy.Considering that,Professor Li Haisong’s characteristic prescription on treating impotence could have unique guiding and referenced meaning on impotence’s future clinical treatment.
