The Effect Of Acupuncture And Ear Acupuncture Treatment Before And After ET On The Clinical Pregnancy Rate Of In Vitro Fertilization And Embryo Transfer

BackgroundIn the past 40 years,the assisted reproductive technology represented by the IVF has made a great contribution to infertility and human well-being.IVF technology is in its third generation,but no matter how the technology is improved,it is dedicated to improving the conception rate and live birth rate.By observing the influence of acupuncture on clinical pregnancy rate,it is helpful to evaluate the adjuvant functions of acupuncture in IVF.PurposesBy comparing the clinical pregnancy rate(CPR)of the acupuncture group,acupuncture plus auricular group,the 2015 American national clinic pregnancy rate(CPR),observe the effect of acupuncture on improving the pregnancy rate of in vitro fertilization and embryo transfer.Methods1 GroupingAll patients come from "Central New York Infertility Center"during January 2016 and June 2017 in the United States.The 190 patients of IVF-ET/ICSI that met the inclusion criteria,a randomized controlled trial protocol was used.Ninety-five patients were included in the acupuncture group and 95 patients in the acupuncture plus auricular acupuncture group.On the day of embryo transfer,acupuncture treatment was performed before and after transplantation.2 TreatmentAcupuncture group:acupuncture treatment 1 hour before transplantation,acupoints:Zigong,Guanyuan,Zhongji,Taichong(Bilateral),Hegu(Bilateral),Baihui,keep the needle for 30 minutes.Acupuncture treatment was performed again 30 minutes after transplantation.Acupoints were selected:Zusanli(Bilateral),Xuehai(Bilateral),Sanyinjiao(Bilateral),Neiguan(Bilateral),and Diji(Bilateral).0.5 to 1.0cun.Leave needle for 30 minutes.Acupuncture plus auricular acupuncture group:Acupuncture protocol is the same as above.Immediately after acupuncture treatment,auricular acupuncture was appliedAcupointswere selected:Shenmen,Zigong,Kidney,Liver,and Endocrine.Leave poppy seed to press acupoints on the ear30bservation indicators3.1 Efficacy indicator(1)Two weeks after transplantation,the HCG value was measured to determine whether it was a biochemical pregnancy.(2)Two weeks after biochemical pregnancy,ultrasound examination is performed to determine whether it is clinical pregnancy.3.2 Safety indicators:including observations of acupuncture safety assessments,adverse events,or serious adverse events,and evaluations during treatment.Result1 Basic dataA total of 190 patients with IVF-ET.During the procedure the acupuncture group was removed in 6 patients;the acupuncture plus auricular acupuncture group was removed 15 patients,and total 169 patients were treated.Eighty-nine patients were in acupuncture group,and 80 patients were in acupuncture plus auricular acupuncture group.2 Results2.1 Number of clinical pregnancy:2.1.1 Acupuncture group:of the 89 patients,45 were clinical pregnancy.Thereinto,49 patients under 35 years old,27 patients of clinical pregnancy;26 patients of 35-40 years old,12 patients of clinical pregnancy;14 patients of 41-44 years old,6 patients of clinical pregnancy.2.1.2 Acupuncture plus auricular acupuncture group:of the 80 patients,41 were clinical pregnancy.Among which,39 patients under 35 years old,clinical pregnancy was 21 patients.Twenty-three patients of 35-40 years old,12 of clinical pregnancy;18 patients of 41-44 years old,8 patients of clinical pregnancy.2.2 Discussion of Pregnancy rate comparison2.2.1 Comparison of total clinical pregnancy rate The total clinical pregnancy rates of the acupuncture group,acupuncture plus auricular acupuncture group,and the nationwide were 50.56%,51.25%and 45%,compared respectively,P>0.05,and there is no statistical difference.2.2.2 Comparison of pregnancy rates stratified by ageUnder 35 years old:The clinical pregnancy rates of acupuncture group,acupuncture plus auricular acupuncture group,nationwide were 55.10%,53.85%and 53.8%,compare respectively,P>0.05,and there was no statistical difference.35-40 years old:The clinical pregnancy rates of acupuncture group,acupuncture plus auricular acupuncture group,and nationwide were 46.15%,52.17%and 42.73%,P>0.05,there is no significant difference.41-44 years old:The clinical pregnancy rates of acupuncture group,acupuncture plus auricular acupuncture group,and nationwide were 42.85%,44.44%and 21.95%,compared respectively,which were significantly different,P<0.05.For 41-44 years old:the acupuncture plus auricular acupuncture group had significant statistical differences with nationwide(P=0.021,P<0.05);There is no statistical difference between acupuncture group and nationwide(P=0.059,P>0.05);there was no statistical difference between acupuncture and acupuncture plus auricular acupuncture group(P=0.05).Conclusion1 Acupuncture or acupuncture plus auricular acupuncture treatment can improve clinical pregnancy rate in IVF-ET.2 Acupuncture or acupuncture plus auricular acupuncture treatment has obvious adjuvant for 41-44 years old group clinical pregnancy rate.3 Acupuncture plus auricular acupuncture treatment will be more effective for elderly 41-44 years old in IVF-ET.
