In the era of knowledge economy with the rapid development of science and technology,the technological innovation of enterprises presents the characteristics of network and opening,it is out of the question for the enterprises to block the knowledge in the closed "black box",it is more important for enterprises to consider that how to make full use of the creativity and knowledge from the inside and outside of the enterprise.Open innovation theory explains the process and result of opening "black box",that is,how to realize value creation through sharing knowledge.According to the different directions of knowledge flow,open innovation can be divided into inbound open innovation and outbound open innovation.At present,the researchers of open innovation are mainly concerned with inbound open innovation.However,few attention has been paid to outbound open innovation.In the practice of management,it is an important part of the innovation strategy that how the enterprise can make use of the knowledge stock and promote the effective utilization of innovative achievements.This paper attempts to study the strategy of outbound open innovation from two aspects: whether to open and how to open.By studying the relationship between outbound innovation openness and enterprise performance,it is necessary to explore whether enterprises need innovation output and what is the degree of innovation output.From the perspective of open structure,the scale of individual networks and the strength of network ties are considered as the breadth and depth of openness.And then this paper studies the impact of innovation network characteristics on enterprise performance to explore the effective structure of innovation output from the perspective of open structure.Firstly,this paper discusses the relationship between outbound innovation openness and financial performance and innovation performance through the method of multiple regression.The results show that,there is a significant inverted U type relationship between outbound innovation openness and financial performance,and the relationship between outbound innovation openness and innovation performance is inverted U,too.Secondly,this paper discusses the relationship between the scale of individual networks ?the strength of network ties and financial performance and innovation performance through the method of multiple regression.The results show that,there is no significant inverted U type correlation between scale of individual networks and both financial performance or innovation performance,while the strength of network ties are positively correlated with both the financial performance and innovation performance.Based on the above analysis results,this paper provides strategic suggestions for the outbound open innovation behavior of enterprises in the network environment from two aspects of whether to open and how to open.On the issue of whether to open,enterprises should actively promote innovation output,and pay attention to the effective structure of innovation output and innovation export.On the issue of how to open,enterprises need to build their own innovation network and focus on open depth rather than breadth in the open structure.The implementation of the above strategy can help the enterprises get more economic benefits and innovation benefits and maximize the enterprise performance.
