In recent years,with the continuous acceleration of the industrialization of China's radio and television and the development of new media,an increasing number of programs appear in the public vision.Among them,TV specials,as a common program type,are widely recognized and favored by the audience.Although the topic of TV specials is relatively extensive,its orientation is usually distinct.As a significant part of the special program,the host should be specialized and versatile to fully show the theme and characteristics expressed by the program.In the TV specials,the function of role depends on the role that the host plays.As the host,only fully understand the characteristics of the role,can they better find their own positioning,and to meet the audience's expectations.This paper takes the author's graduation work “Xun ji” as an example to explore the role positioning of the host of TV specials.It consists of five parts.The first part is the introduction,including the research background,research status,research content and the overview of graduation work.The second part mainly discusses the notion of TV specials and the role of the host.The third part briefly analyzes the role and function of the host of TV specials.The fourth part,on the basis of relevant theories of communication and sociology,analyzes the role of TV special program hosts from the three aspects of “gatekeeper”,“active infiltrator” and “key opinion leader” and emphasizes the influence of the role positioning of TV special program hosts on the program effect.The fifth part analyzes the deviation and strategy of role positioning with case study.Through the above analysis,it hopes that some references for theoretical research and practical work will be provided.
