In recent years,our government has issued a series of policies to encourage and support China's publishing "going out" in order to strengthen international exchanges and promote the era of Chinese culture.Since the implementation of the policy,China's overseas book dissemination has made some progress,but there is a certain gap from the real goal of China's overseas book dissemination.Therefore,it is imperative to study the current situation,problems and improvement strategies of overseas book dissemination in China.This paper attempts to analyze the status quo of the overseas dissemination of<The Art of War>.<The Art of War> is an excellent literary work in China,and ranks first in the historical classification of Amazon.com's global bookstores in China,with the largest number of evaluations.High sales represent that the book has attracted the attention of foreign audiences,and high evaluation indicates that the book has good feedback resources.Therefore,this paper takes <The Art of War> as a research sample to study it.Based on the theory of cross-cultural communication,this paper evaluates the present situation of the overseas dissemination of <The Art of War> by means of literature analysis,case analysis,data analysis and text analysis.Firstly,this paper summarizes the overseas dissemination of <The Art of War>,systematically combs the historical trajectory of its overseas dissemination,and puts forward the research assumption of the five dimensions of <The Art of War> under the network data mining.Secondly,relying on OCLC,Amazon sales platform,Google Trends hot search and Twitter's data capture,the dissemination status of <The Art of War> overseas is elaborated through the five dimensions of "coverage-attention-Influence-Discussion-evaluation".Thirdly,through the analysis,it is found that the coverage of <The Art of War> abroad is relatively balanced between the East and the West,with a high degree of overseas attention.At the same time,as a historical book,its overseas influence is not ideal and the discussion degree is low,but its influence is found to be good in readers' feedback.Moreover,through the analysis of the current situation of the dissemination of <The Art of War>,the author summarizes a series of problems in the dissemination of <The Art of War>,such as the lack of high-quality translators,limitedacceptance of versions,unclear orientation of overseas audiences and single means of publicity and promotion.Finally,according to the problems,some measures should be taken to improve the translator's translation ability,such as cultivating relevant translators,setting up a Chinese-foreign translation model,establishing a special type of database,and vigorously building a deep-seated practice of cross-cultural communication,accurately formulating publications for different levels of readers,compatible with multi-level communication channels,and a series of improvement strategies.
