Fake Truth About Resistance:Research On Fandom Of Alternative Culture Based On Interaction Ritual Chains

Fan phenomenon and fan culture have complicated connections with media,consumption and globalization,which have become a significant subculture landscape.The alternative culture consumers,represented by Han Han's fan group,are unique among all the fans,they worship the alternative culture with the main connotation of"resistance",which embodies the strong audience subjectivity and the youth rebellious mentality.Fans are no longer the passive followers of the idol.Through spontaneous and active participation in the community interaction,they construct the collective identity,using the idol symbol to create new meaning interpretation,in order to express the resistance to the mainstream value system.This research is based on the investigation of the network ethnography of Han's fan community from July 2017 to February 2018.Through dynamic participatory observation,text analysis and online interview,the author interprets the network text as an online Interaction intermediary system,and concludes three kinds of community interaction types:informing,common sense criticism and personal emotional support.Based on the theory of Randall Collins's Interaction ritual chain,this paper combines sociology with communication,so as to makes a reasonable explanation for the young readers ' alternative culture worship and star-chasing behavior.The community interaction practice of "Han Fen "is based on a high degree of mutual concern,in order to get emotional energy and to exchange cultural capital in the Interaction ritual market,so as to obtain a solid membership symbol.This article is divided into six chapters.The introduction part outlines the reason and significance of the topic,combs and analyzes the current research status and future research trends of the fan culture and the Interaction ritual theory at home and abroad,and summarizesthe research methods and contents of this thesis.The first chapter describes the construction of "Han Fen" identity and its social interaction practice from the microscopic level,which is the beginning of the Interaction ritual chains.Two to four chapters are the focus of this paper.The second chapter analyzes the elements and operating mechanism of "Han Fen" community Interaction ritual chain from the perspective of Collins ' Interaction ritual chain theory.The research shows that:the basic motive force of the interaction of the alternative culture fan community is the pursuit of the social emotional energy.For "Han Fen",this emotional energy is embodied in the cultural self-confidence.In the third chapter,I extend the interaction of the community on the meso level to the more macroscopic Interaction ritual market,and describe the classification phenomenon in the community and the phenomenon of the member movement among the communities.By contrasting the "Han fan group"and its derived community "traveler number one",it is proved that the social interaction ritual is the result from the fans ' rational choice,and it is more and more likely to produce high group unity in the relatively scarce and closely-related fan community.The fourth chapter reveals the essence and influence of social interaction ritual.The rise of the alternative culture fan community is the resistance of the young fans to the mainstream social and cultural environment,and is the attempt of the fan community to nurture the intellectual myth of the media and capital collusion.Regrettably,this behavior only has the superficial meaning of the act of "resisting",but has not had a beneficial influence on the physical and mental development of the adolescent fans,let alone contributing to the social environment and the development of society.The onclusion part summarizes the whole article.Fans are by no means "cultural idiots" and,of course,not necessarily the creator of a unique and continuing community culture,as Jenkins says.Only by placing fans in a particular situation can we draw a strong explanatory answer that distinguishes them from other fans and consumers.The study of alternative culture fans,not only can we fully understand the fan group,but also let us penetrate into the inner world of young people,with a more objective look at their behavior of star chasing.
