A Research On Collective Action In Internet Events

Since 2008,the Internet space has become the free field of public voice,and the activities of different groups to express their own interests and emotional demands on the Internet have become increasingly popular,leading to the frequent occurrence of collective actions of online hot events.Viewing from the dynamic development of events,the formation of this kind of collective action mainly comes from three factors: common concern,shared belief and shared action goal.From a macro point of view,the realistic social contradiction and political structure determine the basic attitude of the network collective action and the basic attitude of the state and the government.From a meso point of view,the collective action organizes,mobilizes,forms and develops through interactive platforms.From the micro point of view,actors are influenced by the information and opinions of the events,constrained by both emotion and rationality,so there are rich contents and meanings in the actions.From the perspective of communication,this kind of network event is bound to be a hot public event that the media and the public are concerned about extensively,and the social contradictions hidden behind it are easily magnified by the role of public emotion so that its dissemination of public opinion and collective action can have a greater practical impact,not only affecting the public awareness,emotions and values,but may threaten the status and impact of mainstream ideology.In fact,in the internal process of the collective action of network events,there are some problems,such as the distortion of information dissemination,the proliferation of network violence,the lack of civil rationality,the lack of network supervision,and so on,which are not conducive to the solution of contradictions and problems.It also poses a new challenge to the governance ability of the government in the new era.The purpose of this paper is to take the collective action in the network hot events as the research object,to make a thorough investigation from the western classic theory of collective action and other multidisciplinary perspectives,and toexplore the path of the formation of the network collective action,the influencing factors and the existing problems,etc.At the same time,it also provides some opinions and suggestions for the government to carry out the network governance scientifically and effectively.
