A Comparative Study Of Chinese And American Archives Service Enterprises

In recent years,the archives business has been booming,and the archives service industry as a rising cultural industry has gradually become an important new force.The archives service industry is a newly emerging industry,which provides preservation and management of archival information for enterprises and institutions in China.The archives service industry enterprise is the main body of this emerging industry.It undertakes a series of management activities such as the preservation,organization,delivery,transmission,and destruction of archives information.On the one hand the emergence of archival service companies have provided guarantees for our country's archival management,on the other hand,solving problems that some enterprises and institutions in our country are unable to properly manage and conserve files.At present,the archival service industry is at a preliminary stage of development.There are still many problems in the development process.But the archival service companies in the United States started earlier,the very earliest commercial document centers are similar to the archival service companies in China.Because Chinese archival service enterprises began comparatively late,so no matter in terms of developing process,environment of policies and micro management pattern of the enterprise itself,there are deficiencies in Chinese archival service enterprises compared with those in the United States.This paper conducts a comparative study of archival service companies in China and the United States,separately making a comparative study of the development history,the macro policy environment and the micro operation and management of archival service companies in China and the United States.Including making contrastive study of 2typical commercial document center in the United States,Iron Mountain and GRM and also making Beijing East Flying Software Co.,Ltd.and Shenyang Junzheng Archives Management Co.,Ltd.,two of Chinese typical archival service companies..At last pointing out the problems faced in the developing process,such as the slow development,lack of laws and regulations,imperfect business philosophy,immature management methods,etc.As well as the reference to the development of the US archives service industry enterprises,the author put forward the enlightenment strategy for the development of China's archives service industry enterprises.We hope to learn from the successful experience of well-developed archival service companies in the United Statesso as to promote the healthy development of Chinese archives service enterprises by forming a good developing environment of the industry,strengthening the construction of the excellent policy environment,constructing excellent management methods,and cestablishing a high-quality corporate management philosophy.In order to promote the sound development of China's archives service industry enterprises.
