With the rapid development of information technology,digital resources have already become a major source of information acquisition.Digital collection has gradually displaced traditional material collection as the most important component of library resources construction,especially in university libraries.Accordingly,how to improve the utilization of digital resources has become a concerned topic of university libraries.Resources acquisition is the premise of resources utilization,therefore the availability not only has a direct impact on users' resources utilization,but also has a profound impact on the performance of library resources construction.The paper constructs an evaluation model and its index system for the availability of university library digital resources based on user satisfaction,and chooses Wuhan University Library as an example to conduct the empirical study,then,proposes some strategies on how to improve user satisfaction on digital resources acquisition.Concrete study content is organized as follows.Firstly,the paper defines concept of availability of digital resources and discusses Customer Satisfaction Index and its application in library digital resources evaluation.Secondly,the author defines resources,system,service and users as component factors of the availability of university library digital resources through combing existing theoretical research and practice research,and explains elements and its connotation of every component factor.Thirdly,the paper introduces American Customer Satisfaction Index to construct the model for availability evaluation.The model includes six structure variables,namely,user expectations,perceived resources quality,perceived system quality,perceived service quality and perceived user quality,user perceived value and one dependent variable,namely,user satisfaction.Then,we designed a questionnaire and did the survey in Wuhan University Library to acquire research conclusions by processing data with EXCEL and SPSS,which includes descriptive statistical analysis,reliability and validity analysis,correlation analysis and regression analysis.The research finds out that there is a positive correlation between each structure variable and dependent variable,so the research hypothesis are tenable.Finally,we suggest that university libraries should improve user satisfaction of digital resources acquisition by focusing on resources,system,service and users.
