In our country, the cultural tradition and technology-oriented modern medicine of resurrecting life and neglecting death cause the dying to die painfully in body pain and fear of death. With the rapid progress of social civilization, the meaning of individual life is becoming more and more empty. The proposal of hospice care just responds to human respect for life itself, and the active involvement of social work in hospice care further reflects the innovation of life concept. As the essence of social action, ritual has gradually become the symbol of life meaning and the expression of value. In order to explore the social work perspective, the role of ritual in the role of hospice care and practical strategies.Based on Genap's "ritual of passage" theory, this study used qualitative research methods to collect data through semi-structured interviews and participatory observation with 14 hospice patients,7 family members,4 medical staff,6 social workers and volunteers to explore the process and operational logic of ritual therapy intervention in hospice care services. It provides a practical reflection for ritual hospice care. The study found that ritual therapy intervention in hospice care services has some effect, further refined the practical strategies, and integrated a comprehensive model of ritual therapy stage intervention:the most important life events in an individual's life include birth, growth, marriage and death, which correspond to birth ceremony and formation respectively in life cycle rituals.People's rites, weddings and funerals are directed to the four themes of awakening, growth, realization and farewell respectively. The specific ritual practice is carried out through storytelling, birthday party, wish meeting and Thanksgiving meeting. The four ceremonies show a progressive relationship of stages. The intermal advancement of each ceremony also includes three different stages:separation, transition and combination, and the transition between stages is relatively mild.In practice, ritualized service can be achieved through specific techniques in social work:in the wake-up ceremony,by reviewing and focusing on important events through life,by discovering various possibilities of narration,it can be separated from "problem experience"and transformed into "new story" to realize the remodeling of individual value;in the growth ceremony, communication can be achieved. To create an opportunity for patients to show their abilities,to separate themselves from the "defect-based" state and to transition to the"advantage-based" state,so as to strengthen the subjective consciousness and self-identity;in the realization ceremony, focusing on instantaneity needs to weaken the sense of powerlessness and help patients experience social participation again in order to enhance their sense of power;in the report In the farewell ceremony, the maintenance of positive relationship supports the patients to say goodbye to the "social world, and rebuild the life meaning of survival and hope,so as to obtain the final peace of life.
