Reaching On The Legal Status Of Women In Marriage And Family In Song Dynasty

It is believed that the rise of Neo-Confucianism has made women more bounded and depressed since the Song Dynasty.Based on this point,many scholars consider that it is a turning point for women to change their status in the Song Dynasty.In fact,the status of women in the Song Dynasty does not decline rapidly as thought by many people.On the contrary,women have been given many rights according to the law of the Song Dynasty.Meanwhile,women also constantly fight for their rights against the feudal ethics code.Of course,the legal status of women in the Song Dynasty also has its shortcomings and historical limitations.But generally speaking,the status of women in the Song Dynasty is relatively higher than before in law to some extent.On the basis of the relative literature,the legal rights of women in marriage and family will be deeply analyzed in the Song Dynasty,and their legal status in marriage and family will also be explored and evaluated in this paper.This paper is made up of three chapters.In the first chapter,stated that the legal status of women in marriage and family before the Song Dynasty.First,the status of women in marriage before the Song Dynasty will be introduced.Next,the status of women in the family will be investigated before the Song Dynasty.Finally,the legal status of women in marriage and family will be evaluated and analyzed before the Song Dynasty.In the second chapter,the provisions on the status of women's marriage and family in the law of the Song Dynasty.First,the rights of women in marital relations are analyzed in the Song Dynasty.Then,the status of women in the family will be explored in the Song Dynasty.Finally,the rights of women in the succession of property will also be analyzed in the Song Dynasty.In the third chapter,the legal status of women in marriage and family will be evaluated and analyzed in the Song Dynasty.First of all,the extension of women's economic,matrimonial and personal rights will be analyzed in the Song Dynasty.Finally,the insufficiency and historical limitations of women's legal status will be illustrated in the Song Dynasty.
