Bulgakov is known as “one of the most mysterious Russian writers of the twentieth century”,and many admire the writer's ability to“see the essence of events,see the future”and create a strange imaginary world.His masterpiece,The Master and Margarita,uses its unique character-building techniques to create a mysterious artistic "fantasy" : character activities are placed in three dimensions of time and space,namely magic,history and reality,and these three time and space are intertwined organically.In this three-dimensional network of characters,showing the complex situation of the real sense,history and religious philosophy.This paper tries to start with the characters from the novels,and then analyzes the connotation of the author's mysticism and its origin.This paper is divided into five parts:In the first chapter,“Introduction”,the general direction of the research is summarized from the contemporary Chinese Studies,and the existing problems are discussed.In the current situation of Foreign Studies,the characteristics and trends of Western and Russian studies are mainly discussed.The second chapter analyzes the three male protagonists of the novel: Woland,Yeshua,and the Master.Woland embodies the traditional devil's image of a different place,showing Woland changeable and complex.Yeshua is the representative of the “Supreme good” and also embodies the secularization of the“Saint”.The master is often overlooked,but is actually a“center of the circle”in the structure of the novel.The novel highlights the critique of social reality,human nature,good and evil,human life and death in the shaping of the three male protagonists.The third chapter explains the image of the female protagonist Margaret's “middle state”.She is a mixture of divine feminine and wild witch,and a mixture of goodness and lust.In her,embodies the complex of many cultures,but also Bulgakov's image of“beauty and love”.The fourth chapter,the source of Bulgakov mysticism.From philosophy,religion,literature and other aspects of the analysis.For example,Greek philosophy,Western modern philosophy,as well as German literature,Russian occultism literature had influence on her.The Master and Margarita is a strange,mysterious novel,from the formal point of view is also an exceptionally “ exquisite ” works,worthy of our in-depth consideration.Bulgakov's mysticism is not out of thin air,there is a wide range of sources of mysticism.
