Confucian emotion theory occupies an important position in the history of Chinese philosophy, its development process is throughout the history of Chinese philosophy, and the Analects of Confucius emotion theory can be described as its important source. To study the emotional philosophy of The Analects of Confucius,we should first understand what are the emotion. In the ancient society, especially before the pre-qin period, which not only has the meaning of emotion, but also refers to the meaning of real situation. In addition,it usually referred to the expression of people's emotions by "zhi" and "qi".In the history of Chinese philosophy, each school has its own unique emotion Theory. In the pre-Qin period,in addition to the Confucian ethical theory of love, there are also the Taoist theory of natural love, the Mohist theory of utilitarian love, the Legalist theory of instrumental love, and so on.The basic attributes of emotion in the Analects of Confucius can be divided into two categories: moral emotion and natural emotion. The moral emotion attribute mainly is from "respects",the "love" two aspects to elaborate.Through combing "respect" and "love" relationship with individual emotional expression,we can see that there is a change of emotional value subject from respecting heaven to respecting people, and a theoretical and practical system of loving people with benevolence and courtesy as the core.Natural emotions are mainly from the original emotional experience of life, such as joy, anger, fear, anger, sadness, sadness and so on.In the analects of Confucius,"happiness" has both moral emotion and natural emotion, and the pursuit of “happiness” can even be said to be the ultimate destination of Confucian emotional philosophy represented by Confucius.According to the content of happiness in the Analects of Confucius,Happiness can be divided into four parts: individual happiness,"Kong Yan Le Chu",human relations happiness and happiness with the people.Happiness is not only an individual's natural emotional experience, but also the embodiment of the spiritual realm of virtue andwisdom, which embodies the inner spiritual enjoyment and pursuit of the subject of emotional value.Through the analysis of these contents,we can further pay attention to Confucius' attitude towards natural emotions, which emphasizes the complementarity of emotion and ritual.By analyzing the discussion of the role of "ritual" and "music" in human emotions in the Analects of Confucius,it can be seen that Confucius advocated that ritual is the main respect, music is the main harmony. In his view, ritual as a ritual system of etiquette to make people have awe,and then be able to restrain and control human feelings; As one of the important means of emotional expression, music has full appeal and the role of mobilizing people's hearts, and can make people achieve empathy and assimilation. Therefore, the content of the sentiment theory in the Analects of Confucius is closely related to etiquette and music. The thought of emotion theory in The Analects of Confucius has a far-reaching influence, which runs through the whole historical process of the development of Confucian emotional philosophy. Moreover, with the development of modern society, the full attention to the emotional theory of the Analects of Confucius helps people to adjust their body and mind, maintain good interpersonal relationships, and then ensure social harmony and tranquility.Generally speaking, the emotion theory in The Analects of Confucius is a simple emotion philosophy, which can be regarded as the source of Confucian emotion philosophy. It centers on human life experience, pays attention to the value and significance of human existence as an individual, and finds a way to settle down for each individual from the combination of emotion and morality, emotion and rationality.
