This paper takes Liu Chenweng's commentary on differences and similarities between "ShiJi"a nd "HanShu" as the main research object,and this paper discusses from four aspects:the characteristics of the commentary on differences and similarities between "ShiJi" and "HanShu",the evaluation of "ShiJi" and "HanShu",the similarities and differences between this book and Liu Chenweng's other commentary works,the influence and value of this book.This paper focuses on commentaries on differences and similarities between"ShiJi" and "HanShu".First of all,we need to have a general understanding of the version,style and main content of this book.This paper makes a concrete analysis from three parts:the overall characteristics,the specific characteristics and the peculiar comments throughout the book.The overall aspect is mainly analyzed from the overall characteristics of the whole book.The specific aspect mainly from five parts to analyze:Liu Chenweng's view to the word,to the sentence,to the content,to the writing technique,to the author's subjective feeling.The peculiar comments throughout the book are mainly from four parts to analyze:Liu Chenweng's no comment on Volume 24,like to use "strange"comment,like to use "wonderful" comment and mention of the word "novel" in the commentary.Thus we have a comprehensive understanding of the commentary characteristics of commentary on differences and similarities between "ShiJi" and"HanShu".Then,it reveals the causes of the above characteristics from two aspects:his reading habits and comments attitude.The commentary sentences of this book not only reflect Liu Chenweng's commentary characteristics,but also reflect Liu Chenweng's comparative views on"ShiJi" and "HanShu".Firstly,we briefly introduce different views on differences and similarities between "ShiJi" and "HanShu" in history,and by detailed reading of this book,find out the commentary sentences about similarities and differences between"ShiJi" and "HanShu",which written by Liu Chenweng,and analysis this comments from two aspects,concrete words and technique of writing,it can be roughly seen that Liu Chenweng is more in favor of "ShiJi".Liu Chenweng,as a commentator,has commented on some other works.By reading Liu Chenweng's comment of ShiShuoXinYu and some poetry commentaries,find out the similarities and differences between Liu Chenweng's commentary on the similarities and differences between "ShiJi" and "HanShu" and other comm entary works.Thus we can see Liu Chenweng's unique habit in commenting on literary works.For example,getting rid of the function of imperial examinations,paying attention to the expression of true feelings,advocating the peculiar style of writing,his comments on prose focus on the analysis of the characters,language and plot,promoting the commentary of later novels,his comments on poetry focus on the analysis of the structure.The rich content of commentaries on differences and similarities between "ShiJi"and "HanShu" has a significant impact on future generations.This book compares the similarities and differences of "ShiJi" and "HanShu" from the word,and compares the two books from the aspect of article style,thus creating a new research field;moreover,there are many comments in this book which regard historical prose as novel,inspiring later generations' comments on novel.Although Liu Chenweng's book is a great work,there are also some shortcomings.The concluding part tries to give a brief description.
