Objective This study based on system theory model, describes character strengths of breast cancer patients, coping styles, perceived social support and subjective well-being of the status quo, analysis of the relationship between them and the mechanism of action,to explore the character strength on the effect of subjective well-being and coping styles and perceived social support in the chain of intermediary role,in order to improve the level of patients with breast cancer, subjective well-being of intervention to provide theoretical and empirical basis. Methods A questionnaire survey was conducted among 257 breast cancer patients in a public hospital in Anhui province from January to December 2019.The research tools are Values in Action Inventory of Strengths(VIA-IS),The Simple Coping Style Questionnaire(SCSQ),The Perceived Social Support Scale(PSSS),The Index of Well-being Scale(IWB).Epi Data 3.0 software was used to establish a database, and SPSS 23.0 software was used to conduct statistical description and analysis of the data. The main statistical methods used included T-test,one-way an OVA,correlation analysis and stepwise regression analysis.Amos 21.0 software was used to construct the STRUCTURAL equation model, and the non-parametric percentile Bootstrap method5was used to estimate the 95% confidence interval of the deviation correction. Results 1.The subjective well-being of breast cancer patients is divided into(9.90±2.47)points.The level of subjective well-being of breast cancer patients is caused by residence, marital status, education level, family relationship, family monthly income, medical insurance payment method, and disease. The differences in economic burden and severity of illness were statistically significant(P<0.05).2.The scores of the four elements of character strengths of breast cancer patients are:perceptual-self-focused average score(7.01 ± 1.08)points,perceptual-others focus average scored(6.88±0.81)points,rational-self-focused average score(6.40 ±0.69) points, the average score of rational-other focus is(7.10±0.94)points.(1)The perceptual-self-focus scores of breast cancer patients have statistically significant differences in educational level, family relationship, current occupational status, family monthly income, severity of illness, and whether or not to undergo chemotherapy(P<0.05).(2)The perceptual-others focus score has statistical significance in terms of educational level, religious beliefs, family relationships, current occupational status, family monthly income, and severity of illness(P<0.05).(3)The rationality-self-focus score has statistically significant differences in educational level, religious beliefs, family relationships, current occupational status, family monthly income, whether to receive chemotherapy, and whether to retain breasts(P<0.05).(4)The difference of rationality-others focus score in terms of education level and family relationship was statistically significant(P<0.05).3.The results of Pearson correlation analysis show that the four elements of character strength of breast cancer patients: rationality-self-focus,perceptual self-focus,perceptual-other-focused,rational-other-focused and perceived social support, subjective well-being,and positive coping styles are all positively correlated.(R=0.157?0.647,P<0.01),and it is not related to negative coping styles.4.Realize that perceived social support plays an intermediary role between character strengths and subjective well-being.5.Active coping styles and perceived social support play a chain-like intermediary role between character strengths and subjective well-being.Conclusion 1.In general demographic data, residence, education level, family relationship, family income, and severity of illness all have a certain impact on the character strengths, coping styles, perceived social support and subjective well-being of breast cancer patients.2.Character strengths, perceived social support, subjective well-being,and positive coping3.Character strengths can not only directly affect the level of subjective well-being of breast cancer patients, but also indirectly affect the level of subjective well-being on breast cancer patients by the mediating effect of perceived social support,as well as actively coping styles and the chain mediating effect of perceived social support.
