Objective:To investigate and analyze the current situation of the formulation of clinical practice guidelines(CPGs)/consensus of traditional Chinese medicine(TCM)and acupuncture in China, and evaluate the methodological quality of CPGs/consensus of acupuncture and moxibustion in order to provide reference for standardizing the development and formulation of CPGs/consensus of TCM and acupuncture in China. Methods:The clinical practice guidelines/consensus of TCM and acupuncture published by Chinese mainland were searched by computer and manual search. The computer searches CNKI,CBM,VIP and Wan Fang Date databases. The key words are TCM,acupuncture, moxibustion combined guidelines, consensus, norms and standards. The search time limit is from the establishment of the database to December 2019.Manual supplementary search of published guidelines/consensus on clinical practice of TCM and acupuncture until December2019.It is included in the CPGs/consensus of TCM and acupuncture formulated by the organization of Chinese mainland and published in the form of monographs or periodicals. The two researchers first independently completed the screening of the literature, and then extracted all the basic information included in the guidelines/consensus according to the RIGHT statement, and the AGREE-China was used to evaluate the methodological quality of acupuncture CPGs/consensus.Results:1.Of the 527 CPGs/consensus on traditional Chinese medicine and acupuncture,482(91.46%)were named after "guidelines" and 45(8.54%)were named after consensus.154items(29.22%)were compiled under the title of TCM disease names, and 373 items(70.78%)were compiled under the title of western medicine disease names.2.Of the 527 CPGs/consensus on TCM and acupuncture,462(87.66%)were formulated by the Chinese Society of TCM,30(5.70%)by the Chinese Academy of TCM,20(3.80%)by the Chinese Academy of Acupuncture and moxibustion,3(0.57%)by the World Federation of Chinese Medicine Societies, and 12(2.28%)by general medical institutions.3.The first CGPs of CPGs was released in 2013,and the number has increased year by year since then, with the largest number of guidelines / consensus issued in 2008 and 2012.4.According to the International ICD-11,there are 21 systematic syndromes involved in the CGPs/consensus of TCM and acupuncture.5.Of the included guidelines/consensus,75(14.23%)are updated, with an average update cycle of 4.09 years.6.Of the 527 CGPs/consensus on TCM and acupuncture,403(76.47%)are based on expert consensus, and 124(23.53%)are based on evidence-based guidelines. After 2014,the CGPs for TCM and acupuncture issued are evidence-based guidelines.7.124 evidence-based guidelines/consensus reported recommendations and evidence classification,of which 115(92.74%)had a clear level definition of recommendations and 9(7.26%)had no clear level definition of recommendations.8.The 20 CGPs of acupuncture and moxibustion are all named after western medicine diseases, all of them are evidence-based guidelines, involving 9 systemic diseases.Among the five areas of AGREE-China,the score of feasibility/usability is higher, the score in the field of science/rigor is lower, and the score in the field of effectiveness/security is the lowest. Conclusion:At present, the CGPs/consensus of TCM and acupuncture widely covers multi-syst em syndrome, the research method is mainly based on expert consensus method, and t he future is guided by evidence-based guide. The update of guidelines, recommendatio ns and the report of evidence level need to be further improved. The CGPs of acupun cture are all evidence-based guidelines, and the formulation process is relatively perfec t.It involves less disease evidence, and the update lags behind relatively. It is more p erfect in the field of feasibility/availability,and needs more attention needs to be paid to scientific/rigorous,effectiveness/safety.
