| Objective: To observe the clinical effect and security of the stick to acupuncture points in hot summer days and Sanjiu period in the treatment of children with recurrent respiratory tract infection(lung and spleen Qi deficiency syndrome).And we ought to attach importance to the adverse reactions,in order to provide clinical basis for the feasibility of the therapy.Methods: Three hundred and sixty-two children with recurrent respiratory tract infection were selected in April,2018 to January,2020 from the First Teaching Hospital of Tianjin University of Traditional Chinese.According to the inclusion criteria and exclusion criteria,finally two hundred and sixty-nine cases were incorporated into study.They were divided into treatment group(n=145)and control group(n=124)based on the different therapeutic schedule.The treatment group was treated with Stick to acupuncture points in hot summer days and Sanjiu period.They began to offer the treatment from the beginning of the dog days to the last of the three ten-day periods of the hot season,amount to 4 times.And from the first nine-day period to the third nine-day period they needed to be treated 3 times.In total 7 times for a course of treatment.The control group did not give any intervention.We should pay close attention to the physical conditions of the children and record the cutaneous reaction.If they were associated with adverse reaction,we must to treat them quickly.And if they were attacked by the acute respiratory infections,we should cure the children by using anti-infective therapy,symptomatic and supportive treatment according to the condition.Of course the acupoint application’s times would be delayed.By the end,the chinese medicine certificate waits curative effect were evaluated by means of the TCM syndrome score.Evaluating the result after 1 years follow-up.During the follow-up period,we should take careful note of the relapse time,disease types and course.The last we used statistical software of SPSS22.0 to analyze the data,to evaluate the effectiveness and security of the treatment.Results:(1)Curative effect of the disease:The treatment group(n=145)had eighty-one cases were cured,three cases were improved markedly,twenty-four cases were improved slightly,and thirty-seven cases were invalid.So the total effective rate was 74.48%.In the control group(n=124),there were twenty-two cases were cured,five cases were improved markedly,and forty-two cases had a slight improvement,fifty-five case were invalid.Therefore the total effective rate was 55.65%.The results showed that the treatment group was more effective than the control group,and the two sets of data between a statistically significant difference(P< 0.05).(2)Curative effect of the TCM Syndrome: The treatment group(n=145)had three cases were cured,fifteen cases were improved markedly,sixty-nine cases were improved slightly,finally fifty-eight cases were invalid.As a result the total effective rate was 60.00%.There were one cases were cured,five cases were improved markedly,forty-two cases were improved slightly,and seventy-six cases were invalid in the control group(n=124).So the total effective rate was38.71%,the treatment group was more effective than it(P<0.05).(3)In the treatment group,the children of 0～2years old’s total effective rate was 50.00%.The children of 3～5years old’s total effective rate was 76.56%.The children of 6～14years old’s total effective rate was 74.67%.The total effective rate were compared among three groups(P>0.05),it showed that age wasn’t the important factor of curative effect.(4)In the treatment group,there were eighty-seven boys.And the total effective rate was 75.86%.There were fifty-eight girls,and the total effective rate was 72.41%(P>0.05).So it preliminary showed that gender was not the influence factor of therapeutic effect.(5)In the treatment group,fifty-six children had a medical history of 1 year,and the total effective rate was83.93%.Sixty-nine cases had a medical history of 2 years,and the total effective rate was76.81%.There were seventeen cases with a 3-years medical history,and the total effective rate was 41.18%.Last three cases had a total effective rate was 33.33% with a medical history of 4 years.The total effective rate of the four groups were compared,that showed the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).It indicated the medical history was shorter,the curative effect was better.(6)In the treatment group,the frequency,diseases and course of the infection of the upper respiratory tract were all dramatically improved.And in the two groups,the incidence of lower respiratory tract infection were improved.But it was significantly better than the control group in reducing the disease incidence grade and shortening the course of disease(P<0.05).(7)In the two groups,the TCM syndrome of complexion and anorexia were all improved.And the treatment group had equivalent efficacy in the TCM syndrome of anorexia with the control group(P>0.05).But the treatment group had better effect than the control group in improving the symptoms of complexion,hyperhidrosis and loose stool(P<0.05).(8)During the research,twenty-four cases of adverse events were discovered in the treatment group.Eighteen cases of adverse events presented with local redness of the skin and itching,but the skin rash and rupture never showed up.So we needn’t to treat them.There were six cases showed local redness of the skin,pruritus and little skin rash,we need to shorten times of the acupoint application.Last the twenty-six cases all healed fast without any sequela.All the patients finished the treatment and entered the analysis of results.And the incidence of adverse reactions was 0.87%.Conclusion: The total effective rate of disease was 74.48%,the total effective rate of the TCM Syndrome was 60.00% in the treatment group.Over the course of the study,only six cases were discovered minimal side effects in children’s local skin.And the incidence of adverse reactions was 0.87%.It showed that therapeutic method was an effective preparation for treatment of children’s recurrent respiratory tract infection(lung and spleen Qideficiency syndrome).And because it has high safety,so it can be promoted widely. |
