Objective: Explore the intervention effect of mindfulness-based stress reduction on nurses' perceived professional benefits and job burnout with the purpose of providing reference to nursing managers, helping to develop and carry out follow-up interventions for the improvement of nurse's perceived professional benefits and alleviate job burnout. Methods: During the period between September 2018 and September 2019,84 nurses from a third-class hospital in Zunyi were selected as the research subjects. An 8-week mindfulness-based stress reduction intervention was implemented by a mindfulness therapist on the nurses, including mindfulness diet, mindfulness breathing, body scanning, mindfulness meditation, mindfulness yoga, mindfulness walking, mindfulness meditation, etc. The form of intervention consists of group discussion, psychological counseling, case analysis and experience sharing.According to the random number table method,84 nurses were divided into 7 groups which contains 12 people each respectively. All groups experienced 2h mindfulness intervention once a week.During the process,1h was spent in learning course,0.5h in practicing and the last in discussing and Sharing.Nurses were requested to be assessed on the day before the intervention and the effects of that was obligated to be evaluated after the 8th week by the nurse's perceived professional benefits scale, the MBI-human services survey, the Chinese Perceived Stress Scale and the Five Facet Mindfulness Questionnaire. In the aftermath of Excel2019 data entry,SPSS18.0 data statistical analysis, the count data is described by frequency and composition ratio. The measurement data that meets the normal distribution is described by the mean ± standard deviation((?)±s).If it is not satisfied,it is described by the median and quartile, expressed as M(P25,P75).The measurement data before and after the intervention meet the normal distribution and are analyzed by paired sample t test.If they are not satisfied, the MannWhitney U used for analysis.P<0.05 was considered statistically significant. Results: 73 0f 84 nurses finished the entire 8-week mindfulness decompression therapy intervention. The total scores of nurses' perceived professional benefit increased from 136(132,143)points to 140(135,145)points,of which, the positive occupational perception dimension increased from 28(25,29)points to 29(27,31)points.The good nurse-patient relationship dimension increased from 27(26,28)points to 28(26,29)points,and the self-growth dimension increased from 32(30,36)points to 33(31,36)points,which was significantly higher than before the intervention, the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).However,the scores of relatives and friends approve dimension of 24(22,27)scores compared with 24(22,26)before intervention, and team sense of belonging dimension of 26(23,28)scores compared with 25(23,28)before intervention, the difference was not statistically significant(P>0.05).The total score of job burnout of nurses decreased from 67(58,72)points to 63(55,67)points,of which, the dimension of emotional exhaustion decreased from 28(25,33)points to 25(22,28)points,and the dimension of depersonalization decreased from 9(8,12)points to 8(6,9)points,significantly lower than before intervention, the differences were statistically significant(P<0.01),The personal accomplishment dimension increased from 25(22,28)points to 29(26,33)points,which was significantly higher than before the intervention, the difference was statistically significant(P<0.01).The total score of nurses' perceived stress decreased from 38(34,46)to 33(29,39),of which, the dimension of the sense of loss of control decreased from 20(16,22)to 18(12,20),and the dimension of tension decreased from 19(15,23)points to 17(12,20)points,significantly lower than before the intervention, the difference was statistically significant(P<0.01).The total score of the nurse's mindfulness level increased from 124(119,128)to 129(125,137),of which, the observation dimension increased from26(24,28)points to 28(24,29)points,the description dimension increased from 26(24,28)points to 27(25,29)points,the conscious action dimension increased from 25(23,27)points to 26(23,28)points,the non-judgment dimension increased from 25(22,27)points to27(23,29)points,the non-response dimension increased from 23(20,24)points to 24(21,26)points,which was significantly higher than before the intervention, and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.01).Conclusion: Mindfulness-based stress reduction might be a psychological method to improve nurses' perceived professional benefits. It also contributes to the reduction of the job burnout caused by stress, the promotion of the nurses mindfulness level and the maintenance of their physical and mental health.
