Objectives To investigate the situation of nurses’ perceived professional benefit in tertiary hospitals of Zhengzhou, and analyze the influence of nurses’ general demographic characteristics on their perceived professional benefit; By using "career cognitive evaluation" as a breakthrough point, "professional self-concept mediation model" for intervention framework to build cognitive intervention program, then to explore the influence of the intervention strategy on the professional benefit of nurses and job burnout feeling. Provide valuable basis for nursing managers to conduct rational allocation of human resources, reduce the nurse work pressure and promote the nurses to remain.Methods This research was included in two stages: Inventory survey and Cognitive Intervention study. A cross-sectional survey was adopted in the survey stage. Convenient to extract 420 clinical registered nurses from a three tertiary hospitals of Zhengzhou, investigate the situation of nurses’ perceived professional benefit, and analyzed the influence of nurses’ general demographic characteristics on their professional sense of benefit. Theresearch tools, included general information questionnaire, Perceived Professional Benefit Questionnaire, after the nurse informed consent, issued by the researchers, have nurses to fill in under the unified guidance language, the information collected by the SPSS0.17 software to carry on the analysis, statistical methods including descriptive statistics analysis, independent sample test, the gap analysis, multiple regression analysis and other statistical methods. An experimental design was used in Cognitive intervention and its control study,. Based on the present situation investigation, the two scale, grades, pay compensation, hospital environment similar tertiary hospitals were randomly divided into control group and experimental group, used the convenience sampling method to extract the experimental group and the control group the nurse for 128 cases, 100 cases respectively. The control group was given routine business learning organization for 4 weeks in hospital; The experimental group was given cognitive intervention training once a week for four weeks. Training form mainly includes expert lectures and classroom interactive discussion. Research tools were included general data questionnaire, nurses professional benefit questionnaire and job burnout questionnaire. After the nurse informed consent, these questionnaires personally issued by researchers, filled out by the research objects under the unified guidance language. Collected data after strict check input statistical software analysis, statistical methods including descriptive statistics analysis, inspection, testing and other statistical methods.Results 450 questionnaires were issued in three hospitals in Zhengzhou city, and 426 questionnaires were taken back, after the recovery rate was 94.67%. The situation of perceived professional benefit of nurses in tertiary hospitals of Zhengzhou Nurses’ perceived professional benefit total score was(118.321±25.510)(out of 165 points), in the medium level. Nurses perceived professional benefit including positive career awareness, good relationship between nurses and patients, relativesand friends identity, team a sense of belonging, the growth of five areas, five scores were(22.712±6.012)、(22.117±5.133)、(20.817±5.195)、(22.486±4.887)、(30.191 ±6.462);After standardization for the each dimension score using unified dimension, lower scores were positive vocational awareness with 3.245±0.859 and friends agree with 3.469±0.866, the higher scores were own growth and a sense of belonging 3.748±0.815, 3.774±0.808. 2. The influent factors of Professional sense of benefit Using independent sample t test and variance analysis analyze scores of each dimension of Professional sense of benefit of nurse in different groups nurses, the results showed that different gender, different age, different nursing age, different titles, different marital status, human relations, different positions, different monthly income of nurses professional sense of benefit scored difference was statistically significant( P<05.0 or P<01.0). 3. The professional sense of benefit of multiple regression analysis The influence factors of nurses professional sense of benefit was less, only gender, position, monthly income into the regression equation. Other related factors such as nursing age, age, marital status can’t get into the regression equation. The stage of intervention study 4.The comparison of the baseline data between intervention group and experimental group nurses By using two independent sample test and chi-square test for correction, etc., the general demographic data of nurse intervention group and control group, professional sense of benefit total score and each dimension score, job burnout dimensions scores were compared, the results showed that there was no statistically significant difference( P>05.0), two groups of nurses baseline equilibrium, it was comparable. 5.The comparison of two groups nurses professional sense of benefit score before and after the intervention After 4 weeks intervention, two independent sample test analysis showed that the experimental group nurses perceived professional benefit overall situation is better than that of control group, difference was statistically significant( P=05.0001.0 <). Before intervention experimental group nursing scoring averages(131.05±16.96), after intervention the averages(139.46±15.62), increased by 8.41 points, compared with before, difference was statistically significant( P<05.0). After intervention eachdimension score of two groups nurses professional benefit, the feeling of difference was statistically significant( P<05.0). Five dimensions increase degree from big to small in the order: positive career cognitive(increased by 2.72 points), compared with before, relatives and friends identity(2.37 points), its own growth(1.18 points), team belonging(1.12 points), good relationship between nurses and patients(1.01 points). 6.Nurses’ feeling of job burnout scores before and after the intervention Two independent sample test analysis showed that the experimental group nurses job burnout feeling "emotional exhaustion", "personification" dimension score was lower than the control group, low personal accomplishment score was higher than the control group, and the difference was statistically significant.Conclusion 1 The nurses’ professional sense of benefit score in three hospitals of Zhengzhou was in the medium level, such as "positive vocational awareness" scored lowest, but "growth" scored highest. 2 The individual demographic factors influent nurses perceived professional benefit,was including age, nursing age, human relations, duty. Enrolled nurse career benefit were scoring higher than temporary, contract nurses; Nursing managers’ career benefit score higher than ordinary nurses; Working life is longer than the nurses’ professional scored higher benefit. 3 According to “career cognitive evaluation” and "professional self-concept mediation model" form the intervention strategy of training courses,it can improve the level of nurses’ professional sense of benefit, reduce nurses’ job burnout;As a kind of positive psychological factors, the nurse’s professional sense of benefit has positive effect to reduce the job burnout feeling.
