| Objective: In order to understand the current status,funding,number of authors,distribution of institutions,distribution of regions and citation application of nursing management papers,we systematically analyzed the nursing management papers collected by 12 nursing journals in China and WOS database by using the bibliometrics method,and presented the authors,institutions and research hotspots of nursing management research by using the visualization technology,which provide reference for nursing researchers to carry out nursing management research in China.Data Sources: Chinese data: based on the 2015 edition of China sci-tech journal citation report(core edition),3,515 nursing management papers published in 12 nursing core journals from 2012 to 2018 were selected,hereinafter referred to as Chinese nursing management papers.Foreign data: the core collection database of Web of Science was used as the data source,and 2,486 nursing management papers collected from 2018 to 2019 were selected,hereinafter referred to as nursing management papers collected by WOS.Methods: 1.Bibliometric method By means of bibliometrics,the target literature was decomposed into observation variables such as document load,journal distribution,fund source,paper nature,scientific research design,application of statistical methods,number of authors,author area and unit distribution,citation information,etc.The variables were coded and recorded in Excel sheets,and finally analyzed and summarized.2.Content analysis method According to the consensus of experts in the research field,the research topic was extracted and analyzed by reading the contents of the target literature.3.Visualization research method The visual software Cite Space 5.6.R2 was used to present the cooperation among the authors and institutions of Chinese nursing management papers from 2012 to 2019,as well as the distribution of research hot spots,and to generate a visual map of key words of nursing management papers included in WOS database from 2018 to 2019,so as to understand the hot spots of nursing management concerned by international nursing scholars.Results: The results of bibliometrics analysis showed that from 2018 to 2019,a total of 3,515 nursing management papers were published in 12 nursing journals,including 1,864 fund papers and 1651 non-fund papers.Although the number of papers was decreased,the ratio of fund papers was increased,and the ratio of fund papers increased year by year to 0.530 in two years.WOS included 2,486 nursing management papers,of which 181 were published by Chinese authors(120 fund papers and 61 non-fund papers).The ratio of fund papers increased year by year to 0.663 in two years.There were 2,305 papers published by foreign authors(1013 fund papers and 1292 non-fund papers),and the ratio of fund papers increased year by year to 0.439 in two years.Chinese journal of nursing had the highest fund paper ratio(0.785),followed by modern clinical nursing and journal of nursing management(0.585 and 0.571 respectively).The Chinese author nursing management papers included in WOS were distributed in 35 journals,among which the JOURNAL OF NURSING MANAGEMENT published the most articles,with 41 articles,and the ratio OF fund papers was 0.707.The foreign author NURSING MANAGEMENT papers included in WOS were distributed in 91 journals,among which the JOURNAL OF NURSING MANAGEMENT published the most articles,up to 280.The Chinese nursing management thesis is mainly funded by single fund,and the most funded by provincial fund.The nursing management papers of Chinese authors included in WOS were mainly funded at the school level.The nursing management papers of foreign authors included in WOS are mainly funded at the school level.The research nature of Chinese nursing management papers was mainly quantitative research(77.15%),followed by review research(14.45%),research type was mainly investigation research(41.08%),and statistical method was mainly statistical inference(66.80%).The research nature of Chinese authors’ nursing management papers included in WOS was dominated by quantitative research(85.64%),followed by qualitative research(8.29%),research type was dominated by investigation research(86.74%),and statistical method was dominated by statistical inference(79.01%).The research nature of nursing management papers of foreign authors included in WOS was dominated by quantitative research(57.74%),followed by qualitative research(23.77%),research type was dominated by investigation research(70.37%),and statistical method was dominated by statistical inference(52.67%).In the Chinese nursing management paper,the authors were mainly four people,and the degree of cooperation and the rate of co-authorship were on the rise year by year.The Chinese authors’ nursing management papers included in WOS were mainly cooperative with ≥ 7 people,and the degree of cooperation and coauthorship rate were higher than that of Chinese nursing management papers.The nursing management papers of foreign authors included in WOS were mainly composed of four people,and the degree of cooperation and coauthorship rate were lower than that of Chinese nursing management papers.From the perspective of the number of institutions,most of the authors of Chinese nursing management papers come from the same institution,and the multi-institution cooperation keeps increasing.Most of the Chinese authors included in WOS were from 4 or more institutions.WOS included foreign authors of nursing management papers from two institutions.From the perspective of institutional nature,the author institutions of Chinese nursing management papers were mainly affiliated hospitals of medical colleges and universities(50.72%).The author institutions of Chinese nursing management papers collected by WOS were mainly medical schools(83.98%).The author institutions of foreign author nursing management papers included in WOS were mainly medical schools(75.53%).The authors of Chinese nursing management papers were distributed in 32 regions,and the top six were Beijing,Shanghai,Hubei,Jiangsu,Zhejiang and Guangdong.The Chinese author nursing management papers collected by WOS are distributed in 21 regions,and the top five places are Taiwan,Beijing,Hong Kong,Hubei and Sichuan.The foreign author nursing management papers included in WOS are distributed in 73 countries,and the top five countries are the United States,Australia,South Korea,Canada and the United Kingdom.The authors of Chinese nursing management papers mainly have bachelor’s degree(40.51%),and the intermediate title accounts for the largest proportion(36.87%).In terms of the number of citations,the number of citations in Chinese nursing management papers increased year by year,with an average of 18.63 citations,among which the average number of citations in fund papers(19.25 citations)was higher than that in non-fund papers(17.94 citations),which was significantly lower than that in WOS database(40.51 citations).The citation languages of Chinese nursing management papers are mainly Chinese,and the citation types are mainly periodicals.The results of visual analysis showed that five cooperative teams with Liu Yilan,Hu Deying,Shi Yan,Wu Xinjuan and Wang hui as the core were formed.The author mainly focuses on the cooperation within the same institution,with few inter-agency contacts and many independent institutions.Active and extensive inter-agency cooperation needs to be strengthened.From the perspective of the regional distribution of cooperative institutions,the cooperation within the same regional institution is the majority,and the research synergy has not yet been formed among the cross-regional institutions.After the classification and summary of key words in Chinese nursing management papers,three research hotspots were summarized.Nursing quality management focused on quality control circle,quality care,satisfaction,etc.Nursing human resource management mainly focuses on specialist nurses,clinical nurses,low-seniority nurses,head nurses and other objects,with emphasis on research and training,core competence,job satisfaction and job burnout.Nursing safety management involves operating room,ICU,emergency department and other departments,and the research content focuses on patient safety,adverse events,falls,risk management and other aspects.After classifying and summarizing the key words of nursing management papers collected by WOS,three research hotspots were summarized.Nursing quality management focused on intervention,evaluation,access,evidence-based design,etc.Nursing human resource management mainly focuses on nursing leadership,job competency,job satisfaction and competency.The research content of nursing safety management focuses on patient safety,accidental fall,risk factor,etc.Conclusion: The development trend of nursing management research is good,and the quality of nursing management papers is improved.The cooperation in the field of nursing management research is getting closer and closer.Nursing management research content rooted in the clinical frontline,hot research direction is diversified. |
