Preliminary Observation On The TCM Constitution Distribution For Patients With Lumbar Disc Herniation In Ningde

Objective: To analyze the distribution characteristics of TCM constitution and its relationship with related factors in patients with lumbar disc herniation in Ningde through a questionnaire survey of “Chinese Medicine Constitution Classification and Judging Criteria”,and provide a new perspective for the treatment of this disease from the perspective of TCM constitution identification.Methods: From January 2019 to December 2019,this subject identified the TCM constitution of patients with lumbar disc herniation in eastern Fujian by questionnaire survey.The data was statistically processed by SPSS 20.0 statistical software.The composition ratio description method is used to describe the distribution of TCM constitution in patients with lumbar disc herniation.Chi-square test was used to compare the differences in age distribution of TCM constitution in patients with lumbar disc herniation.A one-way analysis of variance was used to compare the differences in body weight,course of disease,and BMI distribution of TCM constitution in patients with lumbar disc herniation in Ningde.Rank sum test was used to compare the differences in the distribution of TCM constitution and height among patients with lumbar disc herniation in Ningde.Fisher’s exact test was used to compare the differences in distribution of protruding segments of TCM constitutions in patients with lumbar disc herniation in Ningde.Using two-class Logstic regression analysis,the relationship between the main TCM constitution types and related factors of lumbar disc herniation in Ningde area was analyzed.Results: The patients with lumbar disc herniation had the highest biased constitution(83.5%)in constitution of TCM,with the composition ratio ranging from large to small as blood-stasis type(21.50%),damp-heat type(21.0%),phlegm-dampness type(15.5%),and yin-Deficiency type(8.0%),yang-deficiency type(6.50%),qi-deficiency(6.0%),qi-depression type(3.0%),special diathesis type(2.0%).TCM constitution of patients with lumbar disc herniation is gentleness type(16.5%).There are statistical differences in the distribution of gender,course of disease,weight,and BMI among TCM constitutions,but there is no statistical difference in the distribution of age,height,protruding segments in the distribution of TCM constitutions.In terms of gender distribution,the physique type of male patients with lumbar disc herniation is mainly damp-heat type.Among the female patients with lumbar disc herniation,the number of patients with blood-stasis type is the highest.In terms of age distribution,before 40 years of age,the proportion of constitution of TCM was the highest in blood-stasis type(26.2%).After 60 years of age,the constitution of TCM has the most blood-stasis type(28.6%).The study found that with the increase of age,the biased physique showed a gradual upward trend,concentrated in the middle-aged and elderly groups,mainly damp-heat type(23.3%).In terms of body mass index,patients with low body weight are mainly of gentleness type.Blood stasis is the most common among patients with normal weight.Among the obese patients,the blood-stasis type is the main factor,and the overweight patients have the highest damp-heat type.In terms of smoking and drinking,smoking has statistical significance on the distribution of TCM constitution in patients with lumbar disc herniation,but drinking has no statistical significance.Among the patients with lumbar disc herniation,the number of people who smoke and drink alcohol is the most in the TCM constitution.Correlation analysis between the four TCM constitutions and various factors,BMI has a correlation with the occurrence of gentleness type,and the BMI of patients with gentleness type of LDH is lower than that of patients with biased constitution.Smoking and drinking are positively correlated with damp-heat type.Smoking and drinking cause an increased risk of damp-heat type.The course of disease is positively correlated with blood-stasis type,indicating that the long course of disease is a risk factor for the formation of blood-stasis type.Body weight,drinking and phlegm-dampness type are positively correlated.For every 1 kg of weight gain,the risk of forming phlegm-dampness type increases by 1.91%,and those who drink alcohol increases the risk of phlegm-dampness type by 10%.Conclusion:1.The constitution of TCM patients with lumbar disc herniation in Ningde is mainly based on blood-stasis type,damp-heat type,gentleness type,phlegm-dampness type.Its distribution is independent of age,body mass index and gender,Weight,course of disease,and smoking are closely related.2.Through Logstic regression analysis,BMI is related to the occurrence of mild quality,smoking and drinking are related to damp-heat quality,course of disease is related to blood stasis quality,and weight,drinking is related to phlegm and dampness.
