ObjectiveThe purpose of this study was to investigate the status situation of knowledge and skills of nursing staff in nursing institutions for the aged in Kaifeng City and the demand for on-the-job training,so as to provide a reference for further improving the standardized training of nursing staff in aged institutions.MethodsIn the early stage of the study,through consulting network journals and database resources,this study searched for domestic and foreign literature on nursing staff training in pension institutions,providing a rich theoretical basis for this paper.Secondly,From January 2018 to October 2018,Methods: “Questionnaire of knowledge and skills status and training needs,pension knowledge assessment was used to investigate the knowledge and skills mastering status and job training needs of nursing staff in Kaifeng aged institutions” in order to find out the training needs of nursing staff in Kaifeng aged institutions.Statistical software SPSS22.0 was used to analyze the correlation data,and the percentage of counting data was used(%).Quantitative data were described by(±s),using one-way ANOVA,independent sample x t-test,Pearson correlation analysis,multiple linear regression analysis.To analyze the level of knowledge and skills of nursing staff for the aged and its influencing factors,and explore a scientific and standardized training model.ResultsThe results showed that 94% of the nursing staff in Kaifeng City were aged 40-59,including 92.5% women and 7.5% men.Among the surveyors,41.7% said they had trained in daily life nursing,40.9% had trained in observation of common diseases,and there was little or no training in other knowledge and skills.71.8% of the interviewees expressed their willingness to participate in knowledge and skills training,47.6% of the interviewees hoped that the training mode would be experience exchange and discussion,45.2% of the interviewees agreed that the training time should be arranged for 1-3 days each time,70.6% of the interviewees accepted the training mode of combining theoretical knowledge with practical operation,and 45.6% of the interviewees suggested stratified training according to the characteristics of caring the elderly.The dimensions with lower scores in the knowledge assessment questionnaire of nursing staff in aged institutions are as follows: Daily life nursing(2.88±1.20),trauma first aid dimension(2.46±1.09),professional ethics dimension(1.90±1.38),psychological nursing dimension(1.90±1.24),rehabilitation guidance dimension(1.62±1.18),their care for the elderly in trauma first aid,legal ethics,psychological nursing,rehabilitation guidance is low level,urgent need to train relevant knowledge and skills.The results of univariate analysis showed that there were significant differences in the scores of the questionnaire among the nursing staff with different working years,occupation before work,employment style,education level,medical or nursing study experience and monthly family income(P < 0.05).The results of multiple linear regression analysis showed that working years,education,medical or nursing experience,total family income and reduced workload were significant factors influencing the total score of the questionnaire(P < 0.05).In the survey of training needs,the proportion of willing to train 98.8% is relatively high,and the overall willingness and enthusiasm of aged nursing staff to train is relatively high.Conclusions(1)The knowledge and skills of nursing staff in Kaifeng aged institutions are in the middle and low level,and they are in the low level in psychological nursing,rehabilitation guidance and legal ethics.(2)There was a positive correlation between the total score of the questionnaire and the working years,educational level,total family income,workload of the nursing staff for the aged;Medical or nursing learning experience,employment style and working hours per week were negatively correlated with the total score to varying degrees.(3)Working years,education,medical or nursing learning experience,certificate holding,total family income,workload,daily life and psychological nursing knowledge were the main factors influencing the level of knowledge and skills of nursing staff for the aged.
