Objective:To exploring the safety and effectiveness of treatments of Bell’s palsy with warm acupuncture to quanliao during restoration stage from discussing the relationship between the different quantity of moxibustion and the curative effect to quanliao in number of cones. To improve the warm acupuncture treatment program of Bell’s palsy with qi deficiency and blood stasis during restoration stage.Methods:90 patients who met the inclusion criteria were were divided into groups A,B and C randomly.Group A was the control group, and the intervention was acupuncture.Group B was experimental group one,and the intervention was warm acupuncture with one-cone moxibustion to quanliao.Group C was experimental group two,and the intervention was two-cone moxibustion to quanliao. The intervention time was one time a day from Monday to Friday and rest on weekends.Ten times for one course of treatment and two courses of treatment in total.Patients were evaluated with House-Brackmann(H-B)facial nerve function rating scale and facial disability index scale(FDI)before and after two courses of treatment.Results:1.There was no difference in baseline data between different groups of patients before the first treatment(P>0.05),which were comparable.2.After 2 courses of treatment, the H-B classification,FDI scores were statistically significant compared with the three groups before the first treatment(P<0.05),and there were statistically significant differences between each group(P<0.05);The comparison between group B and group A was statistically significant(P<0.05);The comparison of group C with group A and B was statistically significant(P< 0.05).3.After 2 courses of treatment, the effective rate of the groups A,B and C were81.48%,87.5% and 96.77%,respectively.There was a significant difference in the effective rates of each group(P< 0.05);The cure rates were 11.11%,25% and48.38%,and the cure rates was statistically significant in each group(P<0.05).Conclusions:1.Both acupuncture and warm acupuncture can effectively promote the recovery of facial nerve function in patients with Bell’s palsy of Qi deficiency and blood stasis during restoration stage, and reduce the disability rate of facial paralysis.2.Two-cone moxibustion and warm acupuncture to quanliao can be popularized to the patients with Bell’s palsy of Qi deficiency and blood stasis during restoration stage in improving the patients’ physical function and social living ability compared with one-cone moxibustion.3.Warm acupuncture had more advantages in improving facial nerve function and relieving psychological pressure of patients with Bell’s palsy of Qi deficiency and blood stasis during restoration stage compared with acupuncture. |
