Objective:Benign Prostate hyperplasia(BPH)is a common chronic disease happens to older men in China,for the male urination dysfunction in the most rare a benign disease.Therefore,this study will explore the status quo of BPH Patients’ quality of life,analyze the main influencing factors and and the correlation between social support,depressive symptoms,lower urinary tract symptoms and the quality of life of BPH Patients,which Provides a theoretical basis for further research on the health quality of BPH Patients.Methods:In this study,a convenience sampling method was used to select hospitalized BPH Patients in a hospital in Shenyang,LiaoNing Province and conduct a face-to-face interview survey.The Social Support Rating Scale(SSRS)was used to investigate the social support status of the Patients,the The Geriatric Depression Scale(GDS)was used to investigate the depression status of the elderly,International Prostate Symptom Score(IPSS)to investigate the severity of lower urinary tract symptoms and Revised version of Quality of Life Scale for Benign Prostatic Hyperplasia Patient(BPHQLS)was used to investigate the quality of life of BPH Patients.A total of 187 questionnaires were distributed and 187 were recovered.All the questionnaires are valid,and the effective rate is 100%.After sorting out the questionnaire data,SPSS 19.0 was adopted for analysis.The main statistical methods include descriptive analysis,t test,analysis of variance,Pearson correlation analysis and multiple linear regression analysis.Results:1.The average quality of life of BPH Patients was 100.82±8.17,the Score index was 63.01%.Among them,the dimension of disease,Physical dimension and social dimension,the Psychological dimension and satisfaction dimension score index were 56.12%、71.20%、68.04%、70.07%and 62.60%.Average score for social support is 37.28±5.14;Average score for depression is 8.68±14.36;The average score of lower urinary tract symptoms was 18.91±4.88.2.Depression was negatively correlated with social support,r=-0.285,P<0.01;Social support is Positively correlated with quality of life,r=0.417,P<0.01;Depression was negatively correlated with quality of life,r=-0.432,P<0.01.3.The demographic factors influencing life quality were age,obesity,marital status,residence style,exercise and other chronic diseases Factors entering the equation were age,obesity,other chronic disease types,objective support dimension,lower urinary tract symptoms and depressive symptoms,in this equation,P<0.01.F value is 54.785,the square of R is 0.646,which explains the variation of 64.6%of the independent variable.Conclusion:The total score of quality of life was in the middle level,and the score index of disease dimension was the lowest.The main factors influencing their quality of life were age,obesity,other types of chronic diseases,objective support lower urinary tract symptoms and depressive symptoms.The higher the level of social support,the higher the quality of life;The lower the depression,the higher the quality of life.The higher the lower urinary tract symptom score,the higher the quality of life.Government health departments should take measures to improve the quality of life according to the Patient’s situation,such as enhancing Publicity and education;Doctors and nurses in the treatment Process to strengthen the Psychological communication of Patients;Spouses and children should support the Patient spiritually and attach importance to the family’s social support so as to improve the Patient’s quality of life.
