| Objective:To evaluate the clinical efficacy of Concentrate Growth Factors(CGF)in pulp revascularization in the treatment of immature permanent necrotic teeth with or without apical periodontitis.Methods:28 immature permanent necrotic teeth with or without apical periodontitis(14 of CGF revascularization and 14 of apexification)were collected into this study, teeth treated with pulp revascularization were in the experimental group while those treated with apexification were in the control group.Tooth clinical success rate, root development, pulp vitality were analyzed.Changes in radiographic root length, apical diameter, and radiographic root area(RRA)were measured and compared according to the periapical radiographs. All data were analyzed using SPSS statistics 22.0 software.Independent sample t test was used to test for differences in root length, apical diameter, and RRA between the two groups.Paired t test or Wilcoxon rank sum test was used to evaluate the clinical effects of each group.Statistical significance was set at P<0.05.Results:1.All teeth of the two groups demonstrated radiographic evidence of complete periapical healing in the absence of clinical symptoms.2.In CGF group, root length increased by an average of 13.72%,apical diameter decreased by 32.47%,RRA increased by 21.74%.In group, root length increased by an average of 2.93%,apical diameter decreased by 6.64%,RRA increased by 0.44%.There were statistically significant differences in root length changes, apical diameters and RRA changes between CGF group and apexification group(P<0.05).The changes of root length, apical diameter and RRA in the CGF group were statistically significant(P<0.05).The changes of root length in the root induction group was statistically significant, and the changes in apical diameter and RRA were not statistically significant(P>0.05).3.Four teeth in the CGF group showed a positive response to pulp sensibility test, and no teeth in the apexification group.Conclusion1.CGF pulp revascularization and apexification both provide a reliable outcome in the aspects of resolution of the clinical symptoms and the healing of alveolar bone.2.CGF pulp revascularization allowed the continued development of roots in immature permanent necrotic teeth than apexification.3.CGF pulp revascularization was expected to restore dental pulp vitality of immature permanent necrotic teeth. |
