Objective Traditional treatment is apexification to immature permanent teeth with pulp lesion or periapical inflammation. However, its disadvantage is that the proportion of crown root is bad,so the risk of root fracture is increased. In recent years, some scholars have proposed the pulp revascularization to treat this kind of teeth. In the course of dental pulp revascularization, the traditional mechanical preparation of the root canal is not carried out,but the infection of the root canal is removed by root canal irrigation and root canal disinfection,so the effect of the intracanal medicament is more important. The purpose of this study is to evaluate the therapeutic effect of dental pulp revascularizationinvestigate, and to analyze the effect of intracanal medicament on its curative effect. Methods 21 immature permanent teeth with pulp lesion or periapical inflammation caused by trauma or fracture of central cusp deformity were treated by dental pulp revascularization in Department of Pediatric Dentistry of Qingdao University Affiliated Hospital from February 2015 to August 2016.14 teeth were treated with triple antibiotic paste(metronidazole, ciprofloxacin, and minocycline)as intracanal medicament.7 teeth were treated with calcium hydroxide.Data from these cases were analyzed to compare the success rate of treatment between the two groups, and to analyze the influencing factors of the clinical efficacy. Results 14 teeth were asymptomatic and apex periapical radiographs were normal with continued roots development and increased dentin wall width. The success rate was 66.67%.4 teeth were observed Periapical inflammations.Another 2 teeth showed normal clinical and radiographic manifestation, but without continued root development. These cases were recognized as failed.11 teeth were treated successfully in triple antibiotic paste group. The success rate was 78.57%.3 teeth were treated successfully in calcium hydroxide group. The success rate was 42.86%.By statistical analysis,p > 0.05,there was no significant difference between the two groups. Conclusions Pulp revascularization in immature permanent teeth resulted in root development, root canal wall formation and apical closure. This study showed that the success rate of dental pulp revascularization using triple antibiotic paste as intracanal medicament group was greater than that of the calcium hydroxide group, but there was no statistical difference.
