Objective:1.To understand the current situation of social resources utilization of elderly patients with hypertension;2.To understand the status quo of self-management behavior of elderly patients with hypertension and its influencing factors;3.To explore the influence of social resource utilization on self-management behavior of elderly patients with hypertension. Methods:From March to May 2018,406 elderly patients with hypertension were investigated by convenient sampling, including general information questionnaire,Chinese version of chronic disease Resource Questionnaire and hypertension self-management behavior scale.Spss22.0 statistical software was used for data analysis. The scores of social demography and disease-related data of elderly patients with hypertension were described by frequency and composition ratio, the scores of social resource utilization were described by mean and standard deviation, and the scores of self-management behaviors were described by median and quartile.Spearman correlation analysis was used to explore the correlation between social resource utilization and self-management behaviors of elderly patients with hypertension Sex;Using chi square test and Z-test to explore the influence of social demographic data and disease-related data on self-management behavior of elderly patients with hypertension;taking the total score of self-management behavior as the dependent variable, taking the statistically significant items in single factor analysis and correlation analysis as the independent variable,Multiple stepwise regression analysis to explore the influencing factors of self-management behavior of elderly patients with hypertension.Results:1.The standardized score of total score of social resource utilization scale was54.08 ± 11.94,and the order of standardized scores of each dimension was medical staff(62.13 ± 19.04),media policy(57.77 ± 16.26),self adjustment(56.71 ± 15.70),community neighborhood(55.31 ± 15.53),family and friends(55.23 ± 16.59),social groups(36.94 ± 12.79).Due to the low response rate of the working environment,it is not included in the description and analysis.2.The standardized score of the total score of self-management behavior scale was61.82(53.94,72.73).The standardized scores of each dimension were: medication management 70.00(60.00,85.00),condition monitoring 55.00(45.00,70.00),diet management 62.00(52.00,72.00),exercise management 60.00(46.67,73.33),work and rest management 64.00(56.00,76.00),emotion management 62.86(51.43,74.29).3.The results of correlation analysis showed that social resource utilization and its six dimensions were positively correlated with self-management behavior(P < 0.05).4.The results of univariate analysis showed that there were statistically significant differences in the total scores of self-management behaviors among the patients with different education level, occupation, medical payment mode, average monthly income, duration of hypertension, comorbidities and complications, range of blood pressure, smoking status and drinking status(P < 0.05);while the total scores of self-management behaviors among the patients with different gender, age and marital status were different There was no significant difference in all dimensions(P > 0.05).5.The results of multiple linear regression analysis showed that social resource utilization, hypertension course, blood pressure range, occupation and smoking status were the main influencing factors of self-management behavior of elderly patients with hypertension(P < 0.05).Conclusions:1.The general situation of social resources utilization of hypertension patients is not ideal. In terms of each dimension, the dimension scores of medical staff are the highest, reaching the ideal level(≥ 3 points),while the other five dimensions(family, friends, community neighborhood, media policy, self adjustment, social groups)scores are all satisfactory The score of social group dimension is the lowest.2.The standardized score of self-management behavior of the elderly patients with hypertension is 61.82(53.94,72.73).The self-management behavior of the patients is in the middle level,42.1% of the patients are in the low level state,44.8% of the patients are in the middle level state, only 13.1% of the patients are in the high level state.3.The utilization of social resources is positively correlated with the level of self-management behavior of the elderly patients with hypertension. The higher the utilization of social resources, the higher the level of self-management behavior of theelderly patients with hypertension.Measures should be taken to improve the utilization level of social resources of the patients,so as to improve the self-management level and the quality of life of the patients with hypertension.4.Social resources utilization, course of hypertension, range of blood pressure value, occupation and smoking status are the main influencing factors of self-management behavior of elderly patients with hypertension. The elderly hypertensive patients with low utilization of social resources, short course of hypertension, high grade of blood pressure,no occupation and smoking have low level of self-management behavior,so they need to pay special attention to the guidance and help of this group.
