Objective:To observe the clinical efficacy of Shumi decoction in the treatment of Constipation predominant irritable bowel syndrome(liver qi stagnation syndrome),and its improvement on TCM syndrome score,IBS symptom severity and somatization symptoms,Evaluating its efficacy and safety.To provide a basis for further deepening the clinical research and promoting the application of Shumi decoction in Constipation predominant irritable bowel syndrome.Methods:70 patients with constipation predominant irritable bowel syndrome who met the research conditions were randomly divided into treatment group(n = 35)and control group(n = 35).The treatment group was treated with Shumi decoction formula granule,200 ml at a time,twice a day,and taken after breakfast and dinner.the control group was treated with lactulose oral solution,15 ml Bid,the course of treatment was 4 weeks.The TCM syndrome score,IBS symptom severity scale(IBS-SSS)score,Somatic Self-rating Scale(SSS)score and safety index were observed and recorded before and after treatment in the two groups.During the study period,1 case was eliminated in the treatment group,2 cases were eliminated in the control group,1 patient was excluded from the treatment group,2patients were excluded from the control group,and 1 patient fell off,and 66 patients were finally included in the statistical analysis.Follow-up was carried out after 4 weeks of withdrawal,and TCM syndrome scores were recorded to evaluate Comprehensive efficacy of TCM.Results:(1)Analysis of Comprehensive curative effect of traditional Chinese Medicine:After treatment,the total effective rate was 91.18% in the treatment group and 71.87% in the control group.the clinical curative effect of the treatment group was better than that of the control group(P < 0.05).(2)Comparison of total scores of TCM syndromes: Both groups could effectively improve the total score of TCM syndromes(P < 0.05),and the treatment group was better than the control group(P < 0.05).(3)Single syndrome integral comparison:both groups could improve defecation characteristics,defecation frequency and defecation status(P < 0.05),and the curative effect was similar(P > 0.05).Both groups could improve abdominal pain,abdominal distension,depression or irritability,chest and hypochondriacdistension,anorexia and belching Symptoms(P < 0.05),but the treatment group was superior to the control group(P < 0.05).(4)IBS-SSS scale score: Both groups could reduce the IBS-SSS scale score(P < 0.05),and the treatment group was superior to the control group(P< 0.05).(5)SSS scale score: both the treatment group and the control group could improve the somatization symptoms of the patients(P < 0.05),and the treatment group was better than the control group(P < 0.05).(6)Efficacy analysis of follow-up period: The Comprehensive efficacy of TCM in the follow-up period of the two groups were compared,and the treatment group was superior to the control group(P<0.05).(7)Safety analysis: There were no adverse reactions in both groups after treatment.Conclusion:Shumi decoction can effectively relieve the clinical symptoms and signs of Constipation predominant irritable bowel syndrome(liver qi stagnation syndrome),improve the TCM syndromes and somatization symptoms of patients,the clinical efficacy is accurate,and the safety is good,It is worth further popularizing and applying in clinic.
