Objective:To evaluate the quality of life of women with pelvic organ prolapse(POP),and to analyze the factors affecting the quality of life of POP patients by comparing the quality of life of POP patients with four levels and three pelvic floor symptoms. Therefore,it provides a reference for the development of clinical intervention strategies to improve the quality of life of POP patients. Methods:This study use Epidemiological Investigation method, and the staged cluster sampling is from February 2014 to October 2015 in 25 cities in Lanzhou,Tianshui,Jinchang,Baiyin Pingchuan,Yongchang and Jingning counties. The community/village was the survey site.According to the POP diagnostic criteria and the exclusion criteria in this study,a total of694 POP patients were selected as the subjects.Using the face-to-face survey method, the Pelvic floor impact questionnaire short form(PFIQ-7)was used as a quality of life assessment tool for POP patients'housework, transportation, social function and emotional health and the three levels of the Urinary Impact Questionnaire(UIQ-7),Colorectal-Anal Impact Questionnaire(CRAIQ-7)and Pelvic Organ Prolapse Impact Questionnaire(POPIQ-7).Multiple linear regression to analyze the impact of POP patients'life of pelvic floor symptoms, and to analyze the effect of POP classification and disease type on patients'quality of life and pelvic floor symptoms.RESULTS:1.This study included 694 patients with confirmed POP,including 42.36%(299/694)of anterior pelvic prolapse,2.59%(18/694)of middle pelvic prolapse, and 8.36%of posterior pelvic prolapse(58/694),mixed type pelvic prolapse was 46.69%(324/694);POP-II degree prolapse was 83.86%(582/694),POP-III degree prolapse was 10.23%(71/694)and POP-IV Degree prolapse was 5.91%(41/694).The overall average quality of life was 29.43±26.64,of which 47.98%(333/694)were in the quality of life group,31.12%(216/694)in the middle quality group, and 20.89%in the poor quality of life group(145/694).So,POP has different degrees of impact on the quality of life of patients.2.The scores of quality of life assessment results of four aspects of POP patients were:11.12(5.57,22.23)for domestic activities,5.46(2.23,11.11)for transportation,2.58(2.45,11.03)for social function, and 5.80(3.77,11.18)score for emotional health.POP has the greatest impact on domestic activities, second on emotional health, and less on social function and transportation.3.The correlation coefficients of POP total score and urination effect(UIQ-7),colorectal anal effect(CRAIQ-7)and pelvic organ prolapse(POPIQ-7)respectively were 0.778,0.654,0.707.POP has the greatest impact on the patient's Urination function.4.According to the three levels of quality of life, the results showed that the four types of prolapse had different effects on patients'quality of life(c~2=5.924,P=0.015).And,as the degree of prolapse increased, the quality of life was worse(c~2=41.154,P<0.001).5.Multiple linear regression analysis showed that advanced age,low education level, obesity, prolificacy, severe prolapse, mixed type prolapse and other types of pelvic floor dysfunction were the main factors affecting the quality of life of female POP patients. The degree of education, body mass index(BMI),parity, degree of prolapse and type are the main influencing factors of the quality of life of pelvic floor symptoms.CONCLUSION:1.POP seriously affects the quality of life of female patients, and the degree of prolapse and the type of prolapse have different effects on the quality of life of patients.2.POP has different effects on different aspects of life and pelvic floor. The focus of POP as a“social cancer”should focus on the improvement of the daily quality of daily housework of patients. At the same time,in the preventive screening work, medical services Personnel should be screened and detected for SUI patients.3.With the increase of age,the quality of life of POP patients decreases, and patients with high age,low education level, obesity, multiple births, severe prolapse, anterior pelvic prolapse and mixed type pelvic prolapse should be treated with key interventions. In order to reduce the adverse effects of the disease on patients and improve the quality of life of patients.
