Objectives:(1)To investigate the post-traumatic growth of HIV-positive men who have sex with men in an infectious disease hospital(2)To examine the relationship between post-traumatic growth and perceived discrimination, social support, resilience and ruminant meditation.(3)To explore the influencing factors of post-traumatic growth of HIV-positive men who have sex with men. Methods:Study recruitment took place in the infectious department of an infectious disease hospital.Convenience sampling was adopted for a questionnaire survey among HIV-positive MSM(men who have sex with men)from February 2018 to August 2018,Each participant was given the Posttraumatic Growth Inventory(PTGI)to assess his level of PTG.The researchers also examined the relationships between PTG and several variables.Perceived discrimination was assessed via Berger HIV stigma scale,Perceived Social Support Scale was used to assess perceived social support, psychological resilience was measured with Connor-Davidson resilience scale, ruminative meditation was collected using the Ruminant Meditation Scale.SPSS21.0 statistical software and AMOS24.0 software were used for statistical analysis.Multivariate linear regression analysis was used to determine the influencing factors of post-traumatic growth of HIV-positive men who have sex with men.Path analysis was used to explore the relationship between the influencing factors of post-traumatic growth.Results:1.A total of 366 questionnaires were received,334 valid questionnaires, the effective rate of the questionnaires was 91.26%.2.The total score of PTGI of HIV-positive MSM is(64.75 +15.76).After standardized the score, the dimensions from high to low were human strength enhancement(6.88 +1.72),appreciation of life(6.81 +1.79),mental change(6.45 +1.97),new possibility(5.71 +1.85)and improvement of interpersonal relationship(4.72 +1.58).3.Multivariate linear regression analysis of influencing factors of post-traumatic growth of HIV-positive MSM showed that job status,Condom Use,resilience, ruminative meditation, perceived discrimination and social support were influencing factors of post-traumatic growth. In sum,The whole variance of the posttraumatic growth explained was 34.0%.4.Path analysis showed that Social support, resilience and active ruminant meditation could directly predict post-traumatic growth.Perceived discrimination could indirectly affect post-traumatic growth through invasive ruminant meditation and active ruminant meditation.Social support and resilience could adjust active ruminant meditation,so affect post-traumatic growth. Conclusions:As a whole,Posttraumatic growth of HIV-positive MSM was in middle level.Working status、condom using conditions, social support, active ruminative meditation、resilience negative self-image were the main factors that had deep effects on posttraumatic growth.Reducing perceived HIV-related stigma of HIV-positive MSM,improving the social support system and improving the resilience would help promote active ruminative meditation as well as enhance posttraumatic growth of them. |
