The eastward spread of Western learning is the process of the introduction of Western culture into Asia.Japan and China are the leading countries affected by the eastward spread of Western learning. Both traditional Chinese medicine and Chinese medicine in Japan have experienced catastrophe in this historical period.Chinese medicine was abolished by the Japanese government in the Meiji Restoration period.Despite the constant struggle for national salvation in the Chinese medical community during this period,it still ended in failure.Thirty years later, with the revival of Chinese prescription medicine,it was recognized and welcomed by the people, and exported to Europe and the United States, accounting for more than 90% of the international sales of Chinese patent medicine. In the early period of the Republic of China,Chinese medicine was also in danger of being banned by the government.Although it survived under the mortal struggle of Chinese medicine professionals. In the following decades,it has been criticized by the Western medical circles, questioned by the broad masses of the people, and has not been able to get the appropriate policy support of the state.Herbal exports account for 70% of international trade, but the international patents of Chinese medicine lag far behind Japan and Korea. The first chapter of this paper is the introduction, which introduces the research background, witness, significance, methods and contents;the second chapter explains the concepts of Western learning and Chinese medicine;the third chapter is the literature review of previous studies on Western learning;the fourth chapter is the beginning of the text, which briefly summarizes the development of traditional medicine in China and Japan before the western learning spread eastward;the fifth chapter is the division of water with the western learning spreading eastward.Ling, mainly studies the impact of political, economic and social environment changes on traditional Chinese medicine and Chinese medicine after the invasion of Western culture.Chapter VI and Chapter VII discuss the decline and revival of traditional Chinese medicine by studying the development history of traditional Chinese medicine in the two countries and the history of struggle with the introduction of Western medicine.Chapter VII analyses the different reasons of the recognition, acceptance and trade volume of traditional Chinese medicine and Chinese medicine in modern times, and provides reference for the survival and development of traditional Chinese medicine in the future.Mr.Wang Guoqiang once said: With the change of health concept and medical model,Chinese medicine has shown more and more its precious, unique advantages and vigorous vitality. In such a perspective, through comparative analysis of similar cases, reducing detours, will make TCM better inheritance and dissemination, and contribute to the cause of human health and the heritage of traditional culture.
