Objective To explore the efficacy of a combination treatment with Dyepulse light(DPL,narrowspectrum intense pulsed light 500-600nm)and CO2 fractional laser on hypertrophic scar pruritus.Methods A randomized controlled study was performed.A total of 90 patients with hypertrophic scars were recruited in Shanghai Ninth Hospital from Jan.2017 to Dec.2017.Among them,a total of 45 patients were treated by CO2 fractional laser(once)and DPL(twice)within three months.The rest of 45 patients were treated by DPL(twice)at the same time period as a control.The Visual Analogue Scale(VAS),the Four-item Itch Questionnzfire(FIIQ),photography,and the assessment of adverse effects were investigated for clinical evaluation.Results According to VAS and FIIQ results,Patients with hypertrophic scar showed a significant improvement of pruritus.Meanwhile,the rigidity,thickness,texture and hyperemia of patients have also been improved with no side effect.Conclusions The combination method of DPL and CO2 fractional laser is an effective and safe on treating hypertrophic scar pruritus.
