Expression And Significance Of SOX2 And ER In The Endometrial Carcinomas | Posted on:2020-02-19 | Degree:Master | Type:Thesis | Country:China | Candidate:Y J Guo | Full Text:PDF | GTID:2404330590485208 | Subject:Obstetrics and gynecology | Abstract/Summary: | PDF Full Text Request | Objective: Endometrial carcinoma(EC)is one of the common tumors of female reproductive organs.It is also known as the three major malignant tumors of the female reproductive system with ovarian cancer and cervical cancer.The vast majority of endometrial cancer has been confirmed as hormone-dependent endometrial cancer,and estrogen receptor plays an important role in the occurrence,development,infiltration and migration of endometrial cancer.SRY-related HMG box(SOX2)is a very important stem cell marker protein,which has been confirmed to be obvious in many aspects such as occurrence,development,deterioration,proliferation and migration of various tumors.For reproductive system tumors,studies have shown that SOX2 is associated with the biological behavior and prognosis of gynecological malignancies such as cervical cancer and ovarian cancer.However,there is rare literature on the expression of SOX2 in endometrial cancer at home and abroad.To explore the expression of SOX2 and estrogen receptor(ER)in endometrial carcinoma and its clinical significance.Methods:Specimens from 69 cases of endometrial carcinoma patients who underwent surgery at Juxian People’s Hospital from January 2016 to December 2017 were collected.Meanwhile,30 specimens of normal endometrium were selected as control.The expression of SOX2 and ER in these 69 cases of endometrial carcinoma were detected by immunohistochemical Multimer two-step staining,and the correlation between the two was analyzed according to clinical pathological features.Results:The positive expression rate of SOX2 was related to the degree of tumor differentiation and lymphatic metastasis(P < 0.05).With the increase of pathological grade,the positive rate of SOX2 was higher,while the expression rate of ER decreased gradually.SOX2 expression with lymphatic metastasis was significantly higher than that without lymphatic metastasis.Spearman correlation analysis showed that the expression of SOX2 and ER in endometrial cancer was negatively correlated(r=﹣0.682,P<0.01).Conclusion: The expression of SOX2 and ER has a certain correlation with the histological grade and biological behavior of endometrial cancer,and they may interact with each other to participate in the occurrence and development of endometrial cancer. | Keywords/Search Tags: | Endometrial carcinoma, SOX2, ER, Immunohistochemical | PDF Full Text Request | Related items |
