| Objective:To observe the clinical efficacy of acupoint catgut embedding combined with Jichuan decoction in the treatment of Yang-deficiency constipation and the improvement of TCM syndromes.Methods:60 patients with constipation eligible for inclusion in the clinical observation plan, randomly divided them into two groups, the treatment group(n = 30): catgut embedding at acupoints and oral administration of Jichuan decoction;the control group(n = 30): the normal oral administration of Jichuan decoction. After four courses of treatment,to observe the clinical effect, improvement of TCM syndrome, and stool property of two groups before and after treatment.Results:1.Comparison of clinical symptom scores: The scores of clinical symptoms in both groups were significantly lower than those before treatment,P < 0.05,the difference is statistically significant;the treatment group was superior to the control group in comparison between the two groups after treatment,P< 0.05,the difference is statistically significant.2.Clinical symptom relief effect: The clinical symptoms of both groups were improved, however, the improvement of the total score of CCS in the treatment group was significantly better than that in the control group,P <0.05,the difference is statistically significant.3.TCM syndrome score: The scores of clinical symptoms in both groups after treatment were significantly lower than those before treatment,P< 0.05,the difference is statistically significant;the treatment group was superior to the control group in comparison between the two groups after treatment,P<0.05,the difference is statistically significant.4.Clinical Efficacy: The total effective rate of the treatment group was83.33%,the total effective rate of the control group was 56.67%,P< 0.05,thedifference is statistically significant, the treatment group is superior to the control group in the treatment of TCM syndrome.5.The two groups had no diarrhea, abdominal pain, and vomiting after taking the medicine;and no fever, abdominal sclerosing, congestion and other adverse reactions were found after catgut embedding at acupoints. Conclusion:Acupoint catgut embedding combined with Jichuan decoction in the treatment of yang-deficiency constipation Treat Yang-deficiency constipation can significantly improve the clinical efficacy,Improve the patient’s dry stool, poor defecation and other clinical symptoms, and no adverse reactions occur. |
