ObjectiveReporting the quality of the report on the currently published TCM guidelines;developing a report specification based on the RIGHT-based Chinese Medicine Guide-the RIGHT statement of the Chinese Medicine Extended Edition;MethodsRetrieve the clinical guidelines for Chinese medicine published today, evaluate the quality of the report, evaluate the literature in multiple dimensions according to the RIGHT statement, analyze the current status and problems of the report quality of the Chinese Medicine Guide, and explore the guidelines for the guidelines in the field of Chinese medicine.Applicability, find ways and methods to improve the quality of reports.Systematic evaluation of the clinical practice guidelines included in the Chinese medicine, extracting and summarizing the contents and data of the guide report;searching the database to find the literature on the quality of the research report, and using it as an important basis for formulating the item through horizontal analysis.Invite multidisciplinary experts, implement the Delphi method consensus, present the background and research evidence for the development of the report specification, discuss the basic principles, flow charts, and strategies for inclusion in the list entries, and list the specific draft items.ResultsOverall,539 TCM CPGs were included.(1)The mean scores(Med,IQR)for each RIGHT domain were as follows:basic information(4,1),background(3,2),evidence(0,0),recommendations(2,2),review and quality assurance(0,0),funding and declaration and management of interests(0,0.5),and other information(0,0).(2)The items with a low reporting rate(<10%)included 2,5,8b,9a,10a,10b,11a,11b,14a,14b,14c,16,17,19b,20,21,and 22,and those with a high reporting rate(>90%)included 1a,1b,1c,7b,13a,and 13b.(3)In recent years, the reporting quality of TCM CPGs has improved, and there was a significant difference among the organizations(P=0.000),where that of the updated versions was greater than that of the historical versions(P=0.047).(4)The RIGHT and AGREE ? scores were positively correlated(P=0.014).Data extraction from the clinical practice guidelines for Chinese medicine, exclude the contents already included in the RIGHT statement, and report the statistics of the contents not included in the RIGHT statement. The total result is 10 items. The 10 items are classified according to their nature, determined as 24 initial items, and 1 item is supplemented by brainstorming, and 25 initial items are finally determined.Through two rounds of Delphi consensus,a total of 2 areas of the original RIGHT statement were expanded, including 6 topics and 23 items.ConclusionThe quality of the report of the Chinese Medicine Guide is closely related to the quality of the guide method.Although the quality of the TCM report is generally on the rise, its overall quality is still not high, and there is a certain gap within it.Guideline developers should develop guidelines in an evidence-based manner in the development of the guidelines, and can report in accordance with the RIGHT statement when writing the guidelines. However, the existing RIGHT report items are not fully applicable to the clinical guidelines of Chinese medicine, and the report specifications of the Chinese medicine guidelines should reflect the characteristics of Chinese medicine itself.RIGHT declares that the extended version of Chinese medicine has comprehensively and systematically searched the literature, and analyzed all the featured items in detail, reflecting as much as possible the unique characteristics of traditional Chinese medicine, consistent with the purpose of the RIGHT statement, aiming to jointly improve the report of the Chinese Medicine Guide.Quality, promoting the implementation of the guidelines forChinese medicine.Standardize the writing of the Chinese Medicine Guidelines.
