Objective To understand the dietary quality and influencing factors of nurses in clinical departments;to understand the level and influencing factors of nutrition caring knowledge attitude and practice;to explore the relationship between clinical nurses' own dietary quality and their nutrition caring knowledge attitude and practice. Methods This study adopted a cluster sampling method. From June 2017 to October 2018,11 departments were randomly selected from 60 clinical departments of a third-grade hospital in Hefei, and face-to-face and one-on-one field surveys were adopted.Ways to investigate all nurses who meet the inclusion and exclusion criteria in the department. The survey was conducted using a socio-demographic data questionnaire,a dietary habit questionnaire,a continuous 3d24 h dietary review method, and a nutrition nursing knowledge questionnaire.A total of 161 clinical nurses were collected. The dietary composition calculation was based on the Chinese Food Composition Table(Second Edition),and the dietary quality of clinical nurses was evaluated using the Chinese Dietary Balance Index-07(DBI-07).Data was entered using Epidata 3.1 software, and SPSS 19.0 software was used for statistical description and analysis. The t test and analysis of variance were used to analyze the differences in dietary habits and dietary balance index among different groups of nurses. The t-test and analysis of variance were used to analyze the differences in nutrition nursing knowledge, attitudes and behavioral scores among nurses in different groups.Pearson correlation analysis was used to explore clinical nurses. The association between the dietary balance index and its nutritional care knowledge. Results 22.4% of the 161 clinical nurses had reached the recommended amount,65.8% were lower than the recommended amount, and 11.8% exceeded the recommended amount.3.1% of vegetables and fruits reached the recommended amount, and 96.9% were lower than the recommended amount.3.7% of milk and beans reached the recommended amount, and 96.3% were lower than the recommended amount.28.6% of animal foods reached the recommended amount,21.8% exceeded the recommended amount, and 49.6% were lower than the recommended amount.Alcohol seasonings exceeded the recommended amount.40.4% of the food types reached the recommended category standard, and 59.6% were lower than the recommended standard.Only 1.9% of drinking water reached the recommended amount of drinking water, and 98.1% were lower than the recommended amount. The higher bound score of the dietary balance index was 7.68±2.66,the lower bound score was 22.32±6.04,and the diet quality distance was 30.30±6.47.There were problems such as low intake, low intake and low dietary imbalance in the dietary quality. There were significant differences in the scores of DBI-07 between clinical nurses of different ages, marital status, responsible nurses, and night shifts(p<0.05).The distribution of dietary patterns showed that B mode was the main dietary pattern of this survey(44.1%),followed by A mode(25.47%),E mode(20.5%),and D mode(9.94%).A,B mode nurses eat habits for eating out less, eating often with coarse grains, three meals, not eating too much, often eating breakfast and so on.The total score of the nutrition caring knowledge attitude and practice was 218.5±20.4,and the nutritional knowledge, nutritional attitudes and nutritional behavior scores were 71.40±10.70,86.90±6.90 and 60.20±13.20,respectively.The nutritional knowledge scores of nurses with different dietary patterns were as follows: A mode>D mode>E mode>B mode(p<0.05).The nurses who had taken the nutrition course and received the nutrition knowledge training during the school year had higher total scores of nutrition behavior and the total score of the nutrition caring knowledge attitude and practice than the nurses who had not received(p<0.01).The negative end points in the dietary balance index were positively correlated with nutritional caring knowledge. There was no statistically significant difference between other indexes and nutritional caring knowledge, attitudes, behaviors and total scores. Conclusion There are problems such as low intake, low intake and low dietary imbalance in the quality of clinical nurses.Clinical nurses have better knowledge and attitudes in nutrition caring, and the scores of nutritional caring behavior need to be improved. The lower bound score of the dietary balance index is related to the nutrition caring knowledge score of the nurses. However, the other dietary balance index indicators of the nurses are not significantly related to the scores of the nutrition caring knowledge altitude and behavior.Participation in nutrition curriculum learning and training will help to improve the level of nurses' nutrition caring knowledge altitude and behavior, and the impact of nurses' dietary quality on their nutritional health promotion behavior needs to be confirmed by a larger sample size in the future.
